I felt everyone in the shop was rude and I felt like they played me about the price when it came to my baby hair they said 10 and under was 180 so whe...n I state she is 10 now it’s her hair is thick also they made parts way to small it’s way to many braids but the braids were nice and neat I also got my hair done I got boho braids they made me buy this curl hair and it was 75$ the hair sucks it sheds really bad especially to be human hair also i wanted a braided bob they told me my hair was too long which I knew it was a lie because I just cut my hair and was growing back, and I have a little fro it’s really thick but my fro is not that long bob does not always mean to your chin there’s different types of lengths for bob also I feel like they need to say that they prices start at 150 or whatever price don’t say its 150 and then when I get there now all of a sudden I gotta pay $300 you don’t know what people have going on so they should rephrase their site and say prices start at this my daughter stated she wouldn’t want to go back there and neither would I the only good thing was that the braids were nice and neat I do feel like they try to play with you to get the most money out of you because paying $220 for a 10-year-old hair is ridiculous I would probably give zero stars if I could but they can get the one because like I said the braids were nice and neat Show more

Hi Victoria, sorry to hear that. We said from 10 years old and she has very thick hair. Therefore, we have to charge her the same price as an adult. And also if your hair is thick, we can not part the hair so big to avoid the bulkiness.

She's quick, dependable, and her demeanor never changes. Amy's African Hair Braiding is the best salon by far. Every woman there are all super professional and they make you feel at home. I searched high and low for someone to do Senegalese twist and when I came across Amy’s portfolio I was impressed. I booked an appointment for 2:30pm ...I didn’t get seen til right at 3ish (I was kinda bothered but not really) . The services lasted maybe 4ish hours which was fine by me. The hair stylist was gentle when twisting. My hair is neat, light weight & cute! I definitely will return again! Show more

Good evening. I just left your shop and am very unhappy with the service I received today. In all the years I've been getting my hair braided since y...our shop was in Florida Ave, I've never left unsatisfied and in pain. Secondly, you should not be changing customers' hair that they bring in because you don't know if someone has an allergy. Then to upcharge me and I didn't get the style I requested. Not to mention, i had an appointment for 1pm ans didn't get seated until 2pm. Dont require appointments and then oveebook. The purpose of scheduling an appointment is not just for the stylist, but the customer get as well. You only get one chance to disappoint me and give me bad service. Do better! Reputation and quality service supersedes money always! You arent sorry and you all have done Senegalese twist in my hair three years ago when I cut it even shorter than now. Your prices on the app do not specify for a child or adult. A head of hair doesnt differ from an adult to child. All I'm stating is DO BETTER, ESPECIALLY WITH LOYAL CUSTOMERS. EVEN IF YOU DONT REMEMBER THEIR FACES. PEOPLE DONT HAVE MONEY TO WASTE, NOR DO THEY WANT THEIR HAIR TO BE DAMAGED DUE TO OLD HAIR THAT YOU SWITCHED FROM THE NEW HAIR THAT THEY BOUGHT WITH THEM.
