….okay so as I come up on my 5th parlourversary lol I have just 5 words: DO…NOT…PLAY…WITH….CHATIERA!!!! She is amazing!!! 5 years. …Next month makes 5... years that I have trusted her with my hair. She always comes through and I leave feeling ‘Bonita’ every time 🤣. There are so many more photos I could share but the system won’t let me. I originally met her while in Raleigh and have since moved over an hour away and I STILL drive to DURHAM for her hands! She is the only person I allow in my head and the compliments don’t stop. It’s always a vibe-not just for my hair, but the music and good convo are a plus. ❤️❤️❤️ Show more

While the service itself wasn’t terrible, I don’t see myself rebooking. I arrived on time for my appointment and the front door was locked. I texted t...o let her know I was there and waited a few minutes before receiving a response. When I did get inside, the front area was dark and I was greeted by someone (possibly her husband). When I made my way to the back, there were two other clients already waiting. I booked an appointment specifically to avoid long wait times, so being asked to wait an additional 25 minutes was disappointing, especially after the awkward initial interaction. Once we started, the service felt rushed. I’ve been growing my locs for about 3 years and I’ve never had a wash, retwist, and style completed in about an hour and a half. The retwist wasn’t done loc-by-loc with product for hold and shine, which is standard in my experience. My hair didn’t turn out bad, but it definitely wasn’t worth $120. I don’t mind paying for quality — I just didn’t receive the level of care I expected. She may be a good stylist overall, but since she does all hair types, I think I’d prefer someone who specializes in locs exclusively going forward.
