Ruben was amazing! My cousin recently relocated to this area so our goal was to find a barber he would be comfortable with moving forward. I took him... in to get his hair neatened up… but also for him to really get an understanding of how to take care of his hair since he has never really been taught. Ruben definitely understood the assignment. First, he made my cousin feel welcomed and comfortable, asked what he wanted and asked if he was open to suggestions, the barber next to him also helped hype up the suggestion saying how good it would look. His hair came out great and most importantly Ruben helped instill a confidence in him by offering suggestions and treating him like an adult and not a child (he’s 14). He was so appreciative of the entire experience. After we left I saw him checking himself out in his camera and smiling at his new look. As you can tell from the before and after pictures, he was even standing more confidently after his visit (1 is before, 2 is after). Show more
