I was initially surprised the Back Yard Barber Shop is literally in a back yard. But, we all know the old adage, “Don’t judge a book by its cover.” Th...is was one of the best cuts I’ve had all year….and I visit a lot of barber shops all around the country. Asked DJ to give me a taper on the sides with nothing on the top as I was growing it out. He taught me the difference between a "taper" and a "fade." ... I was happy with the result. However, there were a couple of inconsistencies from his work. Firstly, there was a patch of hair behind the ear that wasn't fully clipped off. Secondly, I can tell from looking at myself straight into the mirror that the left side was a bit thicker than the right. I believe these are correctable and that DJ's fully capable of it. I am sure of visiting again and having DJ cut my hair again with these in mind. Thank you, DJ! Looking forward to the next time! Show more
