If you have a sensory sensitive child, you know how stressful a simple haircut can be from the noise of the clippers to the feeling of the cape. It of...ten ends in tears. We brought our four year-old, who is easily overwhelmed by sensory input, and the experience was truly exceptional. Kev approached the entire process with incredible courtesy, patience and skill instead of rushing, He toke the time to build genuine rapport with him, he introduced the tool, slowly, used gentle handling, and constantly checked in, not just on the hair, but on his emotional state. This wasn’t just a great haircut, It was a therapeutic experience in managing sensory input. beyond the perfect cut, Kev also developed a wonderful and genuine report with us as the parents. He understood the stress we carry into these appointments and offered support and reassurance making the entire visit. a positive calm and predictable event. The cut itself is flawless, but the dignity and respect shown during the visit make it truly outstanding. we highly recommend! Show more
