I went to Sonia multiple times. The problem is that she liked her results more than I did. I’ve had a few issues here and there where she left promine...nt orange streaks instead of soft highlights or the color was uneven w/ patches, or the Brazilian blowout was not good (and a waste of $). After the fact when I mentioned some of the issues, she did say that I should’ve said something. So I got it- point taken. The LAST straw was when she left my roots very BRASSY, with GREEN tones on some areas around my face where I had highlights (you know those green tones like when you swim in chlorine). I decided to say something once I saw it clearly at home. I made an appt - and well things went sideways. She did not respond w/ the same calmness I had seen. She was highly insulted- despite me trying to convey that I was the one living w/ orange roots and green hair. I mean, her hair looked fine compared to mine lol. She tried to justify by blaming my hair (thick, black, some gray) and that it wasn’t really “green” (she didn’t argue the orange). I just wanted it fixed and not to engage in a back and forth. She offered to return the $ and started grabbing her wallet as if to give me cash (she didn’t). It was a mess. But it was not about the money for me, however I had NOT paid to have orange roots, or green tones. Finally: she lost a consistent client because she could not take the feedback, and instead blamed my hair. MY ADVICE TO YOU: be careful to explain what you want, and reconsider how you’ll bring it up if a correction is warranted. She takes a very long time- so account for that (which may be a good thing or a bad thing). Last, the pics on her IG are not all they seem. Very great customer service. If you are dying your hair for the first time, this is the stylist you want. Goes over in details about the type of hair ...you have and also discusses about what you want done to your hair and what can be done because all hair is different. Constantly checks your hair to make sure it doesn’t “overcook” lol. Great environment, definitely can tell she loves her job. Thank you for the great service. Would give more stars if I could.
