My doctor told me that I have a genetic alopecia and I was devastated. I previously had my hair done by Tino and I felt like a king! Now my doctor sta...ted that I had to cut all of my hair off in order to get a sample. I made another appointment with Tino and I had ZERO expectations at that point. Boy was I wrong! He not only topped the first look that he gave me but he made me look at least 15 years younger! When he finished, and I saw this new look, my eyes literally popped out of their head! He was AMAZING! I could not form words!!!!!! I looked like I was on my way to a model shoot (Tino: you should have used me as a model!!! LOL) My chest was bigger and I had a major pep in my step!!!! He was so good that I left him a 50% tip!!!!! He was and is amazing and he will remain my barber so long as I am in the area. BOOK AN APPOINTMENT FOLKS, you won't be disappointed! Tino is hands down the best barber I've ever had. What has stood out to me the most regarding the level of service he provides is that like the busin...ess name, he is consistent. From my first cut 6 months ago to today he has consistently given me the same level of detail that makes my fade look fresh. On top of everything he is always on time and you can be sure that you will be seen at the time you schedule your appointment. I highly recommend him. Show more

Ok...I went to Tino yesterday for the first time and let me tell you, certain things stuck out: (1) the variety by which he uses is really strong, (2)... speed of which he could operate is mind-blowing, (3) PROMPTNESS!!!!! A lot of barbers show up late, have excuses, and are just plain rude. He was NONE of those things and he was on time! I didn't have much faith in barbers after the heinous and horrendous treatment from A'Unique (stay away from that shop!) in Anaheim, but Tino got me in and out AND he actually made me look at least 10-15 years younger! I have already booked him again because he gets booked quickly. So far, he's the best barber, black or white, in Long Beach. The icing on the cake is when Tino showed me how to operate Booksby. I still haven't mastered it but I will. Far and away the most professional barber that I have met in recent times! I will definitely be back! On a personal note: it's refreshing to go into an African American Barbershop and not hear toxicity constantly. As a fellow African American, it's refreshing to not be judged for not being the "right kind of black." This man gives credit to his Creator and he constantly thanks his customers and asks them for input even though he doesn't need it. I had NO PROBLEM with leaving him a very good tip! Show more

Tino is absolutely amazing!! I was searching for a barber, who specialized in black hair care. My boyfriend’s birthday was coming up and I wanted him ...to receive a VIP pampering service. I searched Yelp and found Tino, but the problem was that it was on a Sunday and I was trying to schedule for the following week. I called Tino’s number to leave a message and was pleasantly surprised to find that he left detailed instructions on how to book your service. I followed Tino’s directions and downloaded Booksy. I also went to his Instagram and viewed more of his work and also messaged him regarding questions on his packages. I was surprised that he answered. He was very pleasant and helpful throughout the planning, as this was a surprise for my boyfriend. I felt that I found the perfect barber for him! I stopped by Tino’s shop and prepaid for the service and was able to meet him. He was very nice and easy to talk to. I really appreciated the time he took to help me choose the right package. I scheduled the VIP service, that’s a two hour session. He was given wine and was able to relax and decompress from the hectic week he had. Tino kept me updated throughout and even sent me pictures. My boyfriend was very, very happy with the service he received. He called me after telling me how dope the experience was. I’ve already scheduled his next appointment, per his request! Show more
