    • SABRE College Safety Program

Sabre College Safety ProgramIt’s no secret that campuses are not safe havens. Nearly 10,000 students are victims of aggravated assault or robbery each year. In response, many schools are investing in technological innovations. Some colleges rely on other well-established tactics, such as self-defense or bystander intervention. While these do substantially enhance student safety, they lack comprehensiveness and inclusivity. The new Sabre College Safety Program puts a twist on tried and true preventative tactics. For worst case scenarios, students learn effective protection skills that do not require judo chops or brave witnesses. Many colleges are taking advantage of the ubiquity of cell phones, especially smart phones. There are some admirably innovative solutions available, but a smart phone app has its limitations. Furthermore, attacks happen in mere seconds and an app may not be quickly accessible. For a more communal approach, many colleges endorse bystander intervention. No doubt, innumerable students have averted potentially dangerous situations because an outsider stepped in. However, an endangered student may sometimes lack a brave comrade or assertive stranger when in critical need. Similarly, self-defense training provides worthwhile protection techniques, but comes with constraints. Self-defense requires long-term commitment to develop the heart of a warrior against a threatening man built like a brick wall. Plus, a student could always face bigger, stronger, faster opponent. As a more comprehensive approach, the Sabre College Safety Program teaches students how to: deter personal threats, identify dangerous situations, adopt the Safety Mindset, protect at a safe distance and escape an attacker. Because the aforementioned tools are still viable options, the program incorporates each technique, while addressing its respective benefits and disadvantages depending on the situation.
    • SABRE Civilian Safety Awareness Program

The SABRE CSAP classes provide a critical personal safety plan. At the class, attendees learn how to: Identify and avoid dangerous encounters Discourage an attacker Unfortunately, all dangerous encounters cannot be avoided, so CSAP also teaches how to: Use verbal commands & simple self-defense techniques Effectively and responsibly deploy SABRE Pepper Spray Escape an attacker SABRE pepper sprays have been “Making Grown Men Cry Since 1975” and are used by law enforcement agencies worldwide including (list any local or state agencies. If there aren’t any, list US Marshals, Customs & Border Protection and NYPD) Guns N Ammo Academy is proud to introduce this proactive program to Central Florida Area. Mark Villafane has successfully completed the SABRE CSAP Instructor Certification Course and will be providing these potentially life-saving skills and techniques to members of the community.

Even if you don’t plan on ever visiting Arizona it is it is a great Carry Permit to have in your possession. It allows you to carry in a few states then just having a Florida CCW. Having a Arizona Carry Permit also gives you a back up license if you go to a state if at one point a certain state stops honoring the Florida CCW. The Arizona Carry Permit also gives you another form of legal ID if you ever were to need it. Is the Arizona License better than the Florida CCW? No, it’s not better or worse. It’s different; generally speaking the three “best” to get in my opinion is Florida, Arizona and Utah. Having all three gives you the maximum amount of states to carry and protect yourself in. Until there is a national carry law you the more states you visit the more license you will need. Do I need to be a resident or go to Arizona to take the firearm safety course? No, you can be a resident of any state and take the course here at Guns ‘N Ammo Academy. How will I know exactly what to do to get my license? Hourly $265 - 7 Lessons $1000 - 14 Lessons $1800 - 28 Lessons $3000 There are a lot of ways to train a dog to protect you, property, or a certain space or area. There are fantastic protection sports out there that we can all learn from. But at the end of the day, these systems are far more involved than what the average person needs in a protection dog. Don’t get me wrong: I am a fan of dog sports and have the deepest respect for them and how they apply to personal protection. I love French Ring as a practical protection training system as a dog, for instance; the same with Schutzhund and KPNV. But these are entire systems designed to challenge dogs to perform at unheard of levels in tracking, guarding, and general obedience—and then fearlessly find a man and bite him. Very few dogs are able to reach the top levels. The people who come to me don’t need their dogs to do everything involved in these systems, and they don’t have the time. What they need is a dog that will bite under command, withstand environmental pressure, and abort before biting, or be fast to release a bite and return to the handler. That’s why we developed the GNA Training Group Ring of Life program. I have taken what I feel are the best elements of French Ring, Mondo, and other systems, and then condensed them into a prey and defensive drive protection system. It uses these core drive principles from the above systems to achieve the perfect protector in less time and without the stress of competition. The Ring of Life is a comprehensive system, but it is meant for the real world. It is designed specifically to achieve the perfect protector in less time and without the stress of competition. It focuses on utility and reliability. For instance, we teach modern tactics and practical street application. We avoid equipment fixation and teach practical disarmament techniques. We isolate and activate the correct drives that are needed to be successful, and prevent these drives from coming out in undesirable ways. I believe a dog should recall at all times and out instantly upon command. The Ring of Life is not about breed, pedigrees, or papers. It is about ability. It is not a sport. There are no points. Your dog can do it—or not. All dogs are required to have Level 1 and Level 2 certifications or comparable training before admittance into our program. If you have a puppy and come to us for training, we can start doing some foundational work, such as imprinting the bite. There are three levels of achievement Ring of Life Level 1: Introduction To Prey & Fight Drive Introduction To The Stick Introduction to Gunfire Alert Command Bark & Hold The “Out” Command Equipment Selection Dog or Pup Selection On & Off Leash Agitation Puppy Bite Imprinting Ring of Fire Level 2: Introduction To Defensive Drive Introduction To Find Decoy Food Refusal Scent Refusal Command Refusal Equipment Fixation Disarm Attacker Engage a Still Target Specific Body Targeting On and Off Leash Guard Item Command Ring of Fire Level 3: Introduction To Blending Prey & Defensive Drives Professional Vehicle Protection Perimeter Defense Engage Decoy On Slick Terrain Water Desensitization Muzzled Engagement Undercover Engagement Prisoner Escort Reverse Heel Guard Handler .

This class is 3hrs a day for 1 week. Want to go on vacation and come back to a trained dog? Or what if your dog’s already trained, but you want a refresher or take it to the next level? GNA Training Group offers a Board and Train option that uses our Hands Off program [link] in conjunction with the kennel of your choice. This two week intense boot camp is fun and affordable Basic dog training classes for all breeds of dogs, big and small. We take your dog and board and train for two weeks of fun intensive training. Once those two weeks are over we bring you the owner into the picture and show you how to implement what we have taught your dog. We will teach you how to teach your dog to all the basic commands, and have the dog actually do them, not just once, sometime, or in home only, but each and every time. At the end of the class your dog and you will be qualified to take the Canine Good Citizen test, which in turn may gives you discounts on some home owner’s insurance.
