Boosky actually accepts appointments without my approval and I’m actually in Africa right so time difference is why i didn’t see your appointment because it was still night time here and I was in bed so my stuff called me to tell me about the situatione but it was too while you were already there so they have no choice to make sure they did your hair but later in the day . Touch up for braids

Booked a touch up for knotless with Boomba at 9am. She texted me at almost 11pm the night before cancelling. She then says Coretta will do it at 10:30...am. Then she texted saying to come at 2pm. Then the morning of I receive a text to come by noon. I arrive and Mariam (who I didn’t learn her name until the end of my appointment) is waiting. First thing she does is say “Why didn’t you call the shop? You’re supposed to call the shop.” The way she said it made me feel like I had done something wrong. How was I supposed to know that? This is my second visit with them. Excuse me? I booked on YOUR SITE. Why do I need to call if you’re checking the appointments that are being booked? And the appointment was confirmed! Furthermore, your braider cancelled on me. It is not my responsibility to ask you all to figure it out. Right now on Booksy they list $65 for “touch up for braids” which is what I booked. I also put in the notes that I had knotless and that I was requesting Boomba since she originally did my hair. NO WHERE on Booksy does it say the price is $125 for knotless touch up. When Mariam finished my hair, she did apologize for the confusion and then proceeds to ask for $125. I’m confused because that’s not what’s advertised…EVEN NOW. So I accepted her apology but told her I would not be back. I paid her the $125 even though I felt that was not fair or deserved. I was inconvenienced, and my parts are NOT lined up straight!! This was my experience and I will not be back. I just don’t have a tolerance for these kinds of things any more because it seems to be very common with braiders now days. I do think I should not have paid her the $125 but rather than argue, I’ll share my experience here and with every one that asks me where to go. I will tell them not to come here!! UPDATE TO OWNERS RESPONSE: I’m confused. My appointment was not last minute it was booked July 8th. As I mentioned, I did appreciate you stepping in. However, as a BUSINESS OWNER you should have done that. It was an error not on my part, but your staff. So your attempt to make it right WAS appreciated. Would you like to address my parts not being aligned?? I’m sure you don’t need to beg for customers, that’s not the issue. It’s simply clear communication ensuring that your services and PRICING are advertised correctly. You all seem to not communicate with each other regarding booking/appointments, and that’s an easy fix. And yes, you HAVE had issues like this because there are other reviews mentioning cancelled appointments and lack of communication. So again… an EASY FIX. My experience is not unique, others have experienced the same with you all. Looking at the other reviews, communication is a recurrent issue so I’m not giving this poor review for no reason. There’s a clear opportunity for you and your staff to do better. That’s it and that’s all. Nothing personal, just business. My time is valuable, just as yours is.
