Terrible experience. I put in for an appt and not only was the initial address wrong. Not only did I call her several times and she never picked up. W...hen i finally did get to address, the hair dressers there said they never seen her. This is a scam. I drove an hour in the rain for the appt only for her not to be there or reply to my messages. Beware. If I could give 0 stars I would. Show more

My whole experience was very much enjoyable. She gave me the option of purchasing hair directly from her which i thought was nice being that i did not... have to make an extra stop on the way to her shop. Upon my arrival i was greeted and let in by another stylist since i arrived a bit early to my appointment. Meeting Miya she was really friendly and her space was so cute and comfortable. She was even very attentive to my needs while styling my hair. Although i only came for 6 straight backs she curled my ends and transformed my whole style. I love my hair 💓 and i will be booking again soon! Show more

Okay, so my hair looks okay (not really how I thought it would come out) and that’s why I’ll give 2 stars…However the experience was unpleasant and ex...tremely unprofessional for several reasons. First, she had texted me at the crack of dawn to tell me to come in at 10:30am because she needed to go to the beauty supply store (my appointment was at 9:00am). I didn’t mind pushing back the appointment and had no issues whatsoever until 10:30 came around and she still hadn’t shown up. I did arrive 15 mins early so I waited for a response. There was no call or text to let me know she was running late, and I honestly thought she was going to be a no call/no show since that’s happened to me in the past. After several texts and a missed call she finally texted me at 10:30 to let me know she was running late, which that’s something she could’ve communicated beforehand once she realized she wouldn’t be there on time. But still, I got over it because I understand things pop up and she was still able to do my hair. About 20 mins later she arrived and opened up the shop for me to come in. I expected some sort of apology for her being late, but no. She told me to “go straight to the back and have a seat.” Like no hello, no “how are you,” nothing. She then kicked around the bag of hair I brought and we then proceeded to sit in an uncomfortable silence for the next 4.5 hours…until her friend came and that’s when she was able to open her mouth and gossip about who knows what while I was sitting there in their presence. Her little commentary here and there didn’t help either, some of which I heard her say things like “I got a little smidge of hair left, I just want to get out of here.” Once she was done, her friend immediately hopped in the chair as I was getting up. I felt like she didn’t want to be there nor wanted me there as well. Not to mention she told me to get 10 packs of hair (I ended up getting 11 since she advised it’s best to get a little bit more hair) and only used 4 of the packs. I’m irritated because that was a big waste of money. I think I’ll just take my 7 packs of hair and go to another stylist… My experience wasn’t the best. It’s a shame because she seems really talented, but the unprofessionalism, unfriendliness, and overall rudeness is what will stop me from going back. Please take the time to consider the reviews, because she seems like a hit or miss. I see her responding to the negative reviews excusing her behavior because “she’s a mom first”, but honestly if you’re consistently late to your morning appointments maybe you should start holding appointments at a time that’s more realistic for you to make. Maybe she had a bad morning? I’m not sure but as a customer who is paying over $280, that’s not my problem and does not excuse rudeness. Anyway she can respond with whatever comment or excuse but please, no one is lying or being unreasonable. She’s just really unprofessionalism and has an attitude problem. Edit: now her excuse is my energy was off and I didn’t hear her over the music. I would’ve loved to talk and get to know the person who would be doing my hair. When I walked up, she seemed irritated and upset. There was NO apology, nor did she ask how I was. It seems she finds excuses for everything. No sort of accountability. Definitely do not recommend. Hey I apologize for your experience . I definitely spoke to you when I opened the door . You probably weren’t able to hear me over the music but I definitely greeted you , apologized and told you which room to go to . I do apologize for being late as I told you before the beauty supply opened late so I was pretty much rushing to get to you . I definitely take responsibility for my tardiness . As I said before I spoke to you when you walked in . I could sense your energy when you walked in so I already knew you weren’t too happy with me and by the greeting alone I can tell you didn’t really want to talk to me so I left it as is . I wasn’t going to force you to talk to me but I was definitely going to do the job I’m suppose to do . As for the hair I always tell new clients to get more hair than I actually use because I don’t know the amount of hair you have so I wouldn’t want to tell you to get 8 packs and we actually need 10 . It’s happened on plenty occasions so I always recommend 2 additional packs so we don’t run out of hair . I apologize that you felt my assistant and I were “ rude , gossiping & unprofessional “ because that’s definitely not the case . Hopefully you would give me a chance in the future to correct my wrongs , however I understand if that’s unlikely . I wish you the best and thank you so much for your feedback and your service .
