Myia’s work was ok, my issue has more to do with her level of professionalism. I booked an appointment with Myia over a week in advance. Myia contacted me less than 24 hours prior to the appointment and asked if it could be rescheduled to an earlier ...time. Unfortunately, the time that she suggested would not work with my schedule for that day in particular. In an effort to help her out, I suggested that maybe I could come that very same evening, or at a later time on the original appointment date. Myia agreed and we rescheduled the appointment for less than 2 hours later from the time that she contacted me to reschedule. This was somewhat of an inconvenience, but I thought that I would try to accommodate her. Due to the time change, I couldn’t afford the time to freshly wash and blow dry the hair, per her request. Although, on her list of services, it clearly states that a wash and blow dry was included with the service that I selected (Man Bun), Myia charged me an extra $20 for the wash and blow dry. This bothered me to an extent, given the circumstances and the fact that I was trying to be flexible enough to help Myia out. However, I didn’t make an issue about it. Myia is a pleasant woman, but as soon as my son and I entered the shop, she was already engaged in a full blown phone conversation (on speaker). The conversation was an adult one and wasn’t really too pleasant for my son and myself to be forced to hear. Being that this was my first encounter with Myia, I felt like this was very inappropriate and unprofessional. Her service, twists, left a lot of wax in my son’s hair. The twists were extremely stiff and not really what we expected. Nevertheless, thank you Myia. However, I don’t think that we will be returning for future services. Update: Myia did refund the extra $20 that was charged for the wash and blow dry. I definitely appreciate that gesture. Thank you.

My experience was good was very pleased with her braiding!...

I wasn't sure how my hair would come out because I recently cut it super short but Myia has the skills and my feed in braids came out bomb!!! I let her know during booking that my hair was short and she let me know that it could be an additional char...ge prior to me arriving. I appreciated the information in advance. I also told her that I was a bit tender headed and she was super gentle but my braids were still neat and tight! Love my hair boo!!!

Love my hair came out just like the picture on her page....

Thought I was receiving what was promoted as “medium knotless” (first pic) but received a totally different size (2nd pic) And was charged the same amount. I feel like it was a rush job. I also wasn’t informed that there would be two people doing my ...hair. Hair was cute. Just not what I went for, and most definitely wasn’t worth 175. wouldn’t book again, wouldn’t recommend. My hair was done 4 days prior to this pic
