I came in with one idea but during the consultation she explained and answered all of my... questions and helped me decide a better route for my particular hair texture. As someone who just starting their loc journey, i would say that i had a pretty good first experience with Loc Addicts. Angel was super welcoming, eas...y to talk to, and she had me looking right by the time i got out of her chair. For me, a couple of things that could've made it a better experience, for one, was the scheduling. I paid a deposit to lock in my individual time and set my appointment for 1pm assuming that it would take a while, especially because I have a lot of hair, but when i got there on time for my appointment she had another client that she was tending to. Although she was very apologetic and was great at multitasking, and got me shampooed and deep conditioned while she was working with the other client, we didn't actually get to styling my hair until well after an hour after my scheduled time, and we didn't finish until close to 8pm. I did prefer that she take her time and get it done right, so taking her time once we did get started wasn't a super big issue. I just think we could've been done a lot sooner had we started at 1pm and got into a flow sooner. The second thing i wasn't expecting was the price to be as much as it was. This could definitely be my ignorance, but I assumed that my starter locs would be $150-200. Even with the two strain twist that i requested, I thought that it would be around that much, maybe a little more, but I was surprised when I had to pay almost double what I expected. Because I was happy with the work she did and the experience that I had, I had no problem paying her rate, but it was a bit pricey in my opinion for two strains twist starter locs. Again, this could definitely been my ignorance as I have no clue what other locticians wouldn've charged me for the same service. Overall, I had such a good time in Angel's chair and she took very good care of me! I will most definitely be back because I trust her, her skills, and her knowledge and know that she knows how to guide me on my loc journey! Show more
