Price gouging against a military veteran and marginalization against other minority groups in service. The owner jacked up the price after receiving t...he discount for my first massage. I could hear him saying, “The price was too low…” in the common area before my massage even finished. I feel like they only honor the discount for those they “like” to serve. That is not professional or impartial service. Response to the owner's reply: I need to correct several inaccuracies in your response. First, the product in question was absolutely not an "arousal oil." It was Majestic Pure Sore Muscle Massage Oil, brought purely for therapeutic purposes because your in-house lotion caused an allergic reaction, resulting in visible rashes across my right arm immediately after the first session. Second, regarding your implications: while I have no recollection of experiencing arousal, a physical erection during a massage is an involuntary physiological response. It is a function governed by the autonomic nervous system and the hypothalamus, which cannot simply be turned off by conscious will. Misinterpreting a basic, involuntary bodily reflex as a boundary violation is medically inaccurate and unprofessional. Finally, I have always maintained complete professionalism. In fact, I tipped the therapist generously for both sessions. The only non-scheduling request I made over text was to help me stay focused on a work text message because I was distracted at work that day. When the therapist communicated that this request made her uncomfortable, I immediately offered to cancel the second appointment out of respect for her boundaries. She explicitly insisted on keeping the appointment anyway. Conflating a misunderstanding that I actively tried to resolve with "disrespecting boundaries" is entirely false. I consider this matter closed and will gladly take my business to an establishment that bases its boundaries on medical facts rather than subjective misinterpretations. *It's amazing how quickly the owner changed his response after I pointed out his fabrications. I can only imagine where all these five-star reviews come from.

At Relaxate Sports Recovery, we maintain strict policies to ensure a safe and professional environment for both our clients and therapists. We do not allow outside products unless a client has an allergy or sensitivity to the professional products we use. We also do not tolerate inappropriate conversations or behavior during any treatment. During your visits, our therapist had to set professional boundaries after informing you that several of your questions were inappropriate. Unfortunately, those boundaries were not respected, which is why we made the decision to discontinue providing services. Your allegation of discrimination is completely false. We proudly serve clients from all backgrounds and have longstanding relationships with members of the military, local police departments, fire departments, and their academies. Every client is treated with the same professionalism, respect, and care. We stand by our policies and remain committed to providing a safe, ethical, and professional environment for both our clients and our staff.
