I kept coming to Blerton trusting his judgment, but over my last few visits, both the results and the professionalism completely fell apart. On a pre...vious visit, I specifically mentioned I was getting cleaned up to go see a woman I was into, and asked him to surprise me with something good. I initially liked the cut, but multiple people actually stopped me on the street on separate occasions to point out that my hair was visibly mangled. I am attaching that photo here. Given the pictures of other clients, this was striking. Beyond the haircut itself, the professional boundaries during my appointments became increasingly uncomfortable, culminating in my most recent visit. He frequently used our time to vent about his personal life to the point where I felt like his therapist. He also repeatedly insisted on making plans to grab coffee outside the shop — unprompted — only to consistently flake. When I directly asked him if he actually meant it, he insisted he 'speaks with intention' and promised to text me, then immediately ghosted again. During this last sit in his chair, he also made some pretty disgusting comments about women (“You can’t trust them, they’re always listening.”) and insisted he had both his music and TV going so they couldn’t hear us. A bad haircut is one thing, but lying to clients, treating them like a sounding board, and making inappropriate comments is just unprofessional. Save your money and go to someone who respects your time and their craft.
