I recently visited the facility and i can say it will probably be my last time. Ive came here plenty of times before but this last time rubbed me the ...wrong way. I went in for a silk press, in which i wasn’t expecting perfection but the previous times I’ve gotten the same thing and had completely different results. The young lady left my roots so puffy, i honestly dont think she touched them or the flat iron wasnt on. And then the way the owner was talking to students really gave me the ick. So with that, I’ll just pay the extra and go to a salon.

To be honest, my first visit here was disappointing. I’ve been wanting to come here and have been looking at the services for the last two years. I li...ve in Tuskegee so I’m not in Montgomery often. It was a few things that were concerning to me, but as a customer, I did not feel valued or appreciated. The student left me sitting in the chair and started working on somebody else’s feet next to me. She left my feet underneath the LED lamp and they begin to get very dry. She told someone else to just put oil on my feet. That’s when I got up and left. She never gave me a top coat. And honestly seemed like she did not know what she was doing or wanted to do my feet. She did not wear gloves, and also let nail polish, drip off of my nail and dry onto my toe. It was a huge drop very obvious very sloppy. I understand she’s a hairstylist so that makes sense but overall very poor customer service. I left a tip because I’m a current PhD student, and I understand what it’s like to be a student. However, it wasn’t because of her service. I’ve heard a lot of good things about this place and the owner. One other student was rude loud and made me feel uncomfortable at times by just saying whatever was on their minds. Stating she didn’t like the owner and that if anybody felt some type of way about it, they could just leave. Also, the way how they were talking to their other fellow students was very rude. It just gave something very different that I did not expect. I’m from California and I have a friend who owns a black owned beauty school, my experiences were vastly different. Normally I visit for loc services. On the way out there were two other students who were very kind. Two aestheticians. They asked me if I would come back and encouraged me too. Their service and just attention to me as a customer was really nice. Those were the only two people who seemed to care that whole day.
