      This service requires a technique that uses special needles to crochet the hair into itself, forming locs with your own hair. You can skip a lot of the traditional loc process with this service. It is VERY time intensive but it is worth it if you want to go from straight hair to locs instantly. Because the level of work and amount of time this style requires varies depending on hair length and type, the price may also vary to accommodate the additional time required.

Absolute best! Carmen was so friendly, professional and amazing with hair! She was super patient with my 7 yr old daughter and tried different methods... to help make it most comfortable for her. She continued to ask her if she was okay throughout the braiding session and she even gave me hair tips I had never considered to make the hair more manageable. Braids were not good, they were different sizes and did not lay correct when I looked closer at them. Would not go back to get my hair done.

The professionalism and courteousness from the first dialogue to the day of the appointment was thorough. Dovetail braids and natural styles called b...efore the appt to confirm stylings and to iron out any other satellite issues I may have had. They also provided guidelines for PPE and provided a background to their company policies regarding covid protocols. The day I arrived at the studio, I was met by Carmen. She was very welcoming which made me feel comfortable right sway. The studio itself is clean and stylist had all products (we discussed prior) she would use were present and neatly laid out. During my appointment she would give poignant advice on trimmings, hair care and products. Once we settled in she completed my style in about 70 minutes. She did exactly what I asked for. Lines were clean, edges laid and braids are tight ( not headache tight) I am definitely returning to Dovetail. My experience was so great I forgot that I just met Carmen. Dovetail went above and beyond to provide quality, seamless-service. I look forward to returning. Show more
