Andrea has been maintaining my locs now since 2023, she is very nice and friendly always. She does an excellent job every time. Her salon suite is nic...e, clean, and comfy. Her hours for scheduling are great during the week and on weekends depending on your needs. Anytime I want to try a different style, if I show her a picture she gets the job done. Or If I ask for a specific style she will make it happen. I can say she has growing hands and is knowledgeable about hair care. Thank you for all you do and keeping my locs healthy and beautiful! 🤗

I have used Andrea for my children’s hair previously and had planned to continue doing so, but unfortunately this experience changed that. As a singl...e mother of three, I try to schedule my children’s appointments well in advance, especially for back-to-school season. On July 2, I specifically messaged Andrea and told her I wanted to book my daughter’s first-day-of-school box braids with boho curls and asked which service I should select. She responded that what I had booked was fine and even gave me specific instructions on what hair to purchase. My appointment for August 22 was then accepted and remained scheduled for several weeks. About a month later, the appointment was unexpectedly canceled. When I reached out simply asking whether I should reschedule or whether she would be unable to accommodate the style, I was told she had not realized the appointment fell on the Saturday before school and that she did not want to spend her entire workday on one client when she could service multiple clients. I completely understand that, as a business owner, she has the right to manage her schedule however she chooses. My disappointment was that I had specifically communicated from the beginning that this was a back-to-school/first-day-of-school appointment, asked what to book, and was told my booking was correct. Had I been told at that time that the date or service would not work, I would have had more than enough time to make other arrangements. When I asked for clarification because the date still appeared available for booking and I could have rescheduled for another day, the conversation unexpectedly escalated, and I was told she no longer felt she was a good fit to provide services for me or my family. My other daughter’s previously scheduled loc appointment was then canceled as well. I have no issue with a stylist deciding what services or appointments work best for their business. I simply wish the communication and scheduling had been handled differently, especially after I made an effort to plan more than a month in advance. Unfortunately, I will now have to find new stylists for both of my daughters during an already busy back-to-school season.
