I had went to get my hair done on October 17th. The appointment was set for 9:30am. I got there exactly at 9:30,when she opened the door she let me in... and showed me where to sit,didn’t introduce herself, Did not say a word and was on her phone for most of the time,she did tell me that she had Some issues going on, but that’s besides the fact that she was talking about a whole other issue cussing at her phone,but I’m not gonna get too much into her business.Anyways she didn’t start my hair till 10:08 and mind you I got there at 9:30. I told her I had work at four. She said “mhm,we’ll be done around two”,We got done at 2:50 which is good timing. As she turned me around, I looked at my hair and the braids were neat but there were pieces sticking out from the curly pieces being installed,I had to ask her to cut those pieces out,which I feel like you should already know to do so, because it looked a mess. she cut them out then as I started going through it, a curly piece fell out. I kind of just ignored that and was just praying and hoping that the rest of them weren’t going to do that but as I’ve been wearing this hair for 3 days SO MANY curly pieces have fallen out and there are still pieces sticking out. It just looks a mess. those three curly pieces in the picture aren’t even like the full amount of how many have fallen out.I am gonna have to buy more hair and go get my hair done from someone else,so with that being said I did ask her for $50 back,because I feel like I deserve some money back,I am waiting for her reply so we’ll see what happens with that. Let me start by saying my first experience with Joy was wonderful! I Ioved my braids, the parts were neat and proportionate, I had enough braids and I... received many compliments. The second time I went, I told her about the nice words I received and complimented her work again. Unfortunately this time, Joy wasn’t having the best of days which may have affected her performance. She was dealing with a personal issue which she shared with me and I understood her as I listened and offered support. I booked smedium knotless and although the braids are the right size, that parts are uneven and the sections are quite large. I don’t have nearly as many braids that I had the first time and honestly I have to struggle to get a decent ponytail. I am aware that this is not her best work, and realized she was emotionally going through something that was a distraction to braiding my hair. I returned because I knew Joy is an amazing braider and she was not at her fullest and told several other people how good she is. Joy, if you are willing, I’d like to return for a redo, as I understand you weren’t feeling the best that day. Please let me know, and thank you. *Update* Joy redid my braids today and I love them!! She apologized for my last experience and I definitely understand- we all have our days. The parts are neat, I have enough braids and I am thoroughly satisfied! Yes, I will be back! Appreciate her for her time but honestly am a little disappointed with the quality of service given this time . Literally paid to just get my tracks s...ewed in and that was it . Requested oil be applied to scalp before hair was applied and that didn’t happen . After the hair was put in absolutely no heat was applied to tracks at ALL , only to leave out , nothing was put on edges , NOTHING , just sewed in !! &&&&& It’s my Birthday!! Which made me even sadder !! Not sure what the issue was but no client under any circumstances no matter if they are serviced 2 times a week or once a year should EVER have to go home , add more tracks to make hair fuller (which was already expressed) , do there own edges & have to apply heat if this is what they are paying and trusting someone else to do !!
