About a week ago, I came in for a haircut. (finding barbers that know how to work on black hair is rare in reno). I showed a picture of a low taper fa...de, and he claimed it was a high taper. Instead of any type of taper, he gave me a faux hawk, which is NOT what I asked for. I had a full beard, and everything on that picture is how I wanted my cut to be, but he did the complete opposite. He cut way too much on my beard, and he cut my hair on top unevenly (which I also asked him NOT to touch.) Im on a hair growth journey so you cant just cut black people hair any kind of way. I came in with curly hair, and so when I combed out my hair, you can clearly see where he cut way too much on one side. You can see the picture of what I showed and asked for compared to what I got. Also, there's a picture of me with a similar fade with a full beard but with a little longer hair, so it was very much possible. I go to a stylist in the Bay Area just for hair health, and he f***ed it up now. I have to grow everything out to a more even length now, which takes time. Show more
