I’ve been coming to Jose for years. Honestly, he’s the best barber hands down!! Have no complaints for him at all. Jose is very understanding and flex...ible. What more can you ask for! He’s cut me at midnight. I’m 100% no other barbers will do that for you. Those leaving negative reviews definitely have nothing else better to do. I always have a great experience coming with him. Lost so much respect for this dude within day. I’ve heard so much about this man from his peers in the shop he used to work at but still decided to gi...ve him the benefit of the doubt. I came regularly for cuts and he seemed like a cool dude. That was until I asked for a cut in a video I showed him and he insisted he understands what I wanted even when I tried to specify. He then gave me something I didn’t ask for at all, cut length off my hair I’ve been growing for months, and overall gave me a lazy blend with pushed back c-cups. I said the cut was fine at the end of the session because I figured I maybe didn’t explain myself well enough and could style it to save it. Got home and tried to fix my hair but the length was uneven and the fade was not blended. I thought he was understanding to things like this so I texted him and asked for a refund along with my un-satisfaction with haircut. He questioned why I was upset because he felt he fulfilled what I wanted and told me to come back to the shop to talk about it multiple times. I was busy so I couldn’t at that moment but said I would come later. We kept texting however he then said this was the last cut he would be giving me. I was upset with this because he could have easily just said he doesn’t give refunds OR offer alternatives which is what most businesses with good customer service do. I responded rudely to this because I figured it the conversation was over. He responded and then also added I can come get the money from him whenever. So eventually I came and we tried to have a conversation about it. The whole time he was cutting me off and was claiming I can’t change my mind about the cut after I leave the shop. I was trying to say he gave me a completely different cut then what I asked for but he claimed if I asked any barber they would say its the same. He also added that he could put a poll on his instagram and everyone would agree it’s the same. I expressed that most of my friends as well as my girlfriend said the haircut was terrible and not the same. He then claimed that he asked one of my friends (who also used to be client of his) for an opinion of the haircut and he said it was fine. Little did he know I’ve known his client since my childhood and knew he was lying because my friend was the first to point out how bad the haircut is. I said he was lying and he said he wasn’t. In his old barbershop he has a reputation of lying so he wasn’t helping his case. I decided to leave because the conversation wasn’t going anywhere but before I did he said my next haircut from him is free or I could go to another shop and he’ll pay. The whole point I came was because he said he’ll give me my money back but never did. I left and called my friend and he said Jose never called him. I texted Jose this and he said he had my friend’s name under another name. Once again he lied. So I texted him to just send me the money through zelle because I didn’t want for him to pay for my next haircut and I didnt wanna go back to him. He then said he’s not giving me the money for the haircut after stressing it wasn’t about the money when we had our conversation in person. So I called him out on this and then he stopped responding. To also add he blocked me from booking again. This guy’s honestly a fraud. Everything he claims he is and stands for is a lie. Never in my life have I encountered someone so unprofessional and childlike. Show more
