Medium Box Braids

Two weeks ago, I got my hair braided by Jatavia wanting to look refreshed and more confident starting a job and family visiting. Only to leave with 2...nd degree burns to my upper and lower back due to her losing control of the kettle pot of boiling water while holding it up high while dipping my braids.Ive never felt so much pain in my life,never cried so much in public. Not to mention it wasn't disclosed that it was in an apartment until the night before when i asked for address, i already was skeptical. If there Wasn't multiple people that weren't clients around and a dog biting at my sneakers maybe there wouldn't be so much negligence. I had to go to the ER and get treatment. Going to a new job in pain and itchy sensations from burns, a refund is never enough. Not one time since this happened Jatavia has contacted me and that tells me alot. I conversed with Octavia and felt she didn't hold her daughter accountable, as a pot was to blame and thats really unprofessional. At this point, i dont know how my back is going to heal but i know for sure i wont feel confident to show my back in a long time. I would be aware of getting my hair done in people's houses. Im scarred, paranoid and now really cautious getting my hair done. Show more
