AJ is a good dude. Good with clippers but need to work on his craft with scissors. This was my 2nd cut with him. I specifically requested to trim half... inch on top and keep sides long( as is) due to my receding hairline & once again he took too much size away from sides, leaving too much hair on top which we ended up readjusting & cutting lot more shorter than my expected goal. Also, if doing skin fade, the beard side burn should be blended in or offered least. I’m glad I noticed before leaving and asked(wasn’t done last cut). As a barber, your end goal should be to cut client’s hair based on his/her head shape. So if a client request his preference, it should be done with that goal in mind. Need to work on punctuality . Professionalism in A+. No hate on AJ. I obviously could’ve left a bad review but instead this is my critic review on my haircut and some room for him to work on. Thanks man Show more

I appreciate the honest review. I can accept constructive criticism and agree my scissor work needs more work. But I do specifically remember you saying and 1inch and half and I went on to explain to you that I’ll take off a little more than an inch but and inch and half would be too much and you agreed. Not half an inch. & apologies on not asking if you wanted your sideburns blended. My clients know I always do, but once again the first time you came in I asked if you wanted me to clean up the beard and you said to leave the beard alone. Hope to see you in here soon though so we can get on the same page and make sure you get the haircut you want.
