Changed from 2 stars to 1 star for the disappointing reply especially after tipping and leaving honest positive feedback and recommending him; very di...fferent energy than in-person. It’s troubling he seems to respond to every non-5-star review defensively. Not very receptive to feedback. (Edit: he edited his reply on 10/30/24). (replying to barber): Sorry, brother, I’m just being honest about my experience as a customer. It’s not personal at all (and definitely not hate towards barbers in general lol), and it’s ok if not everyone gives perfect feedback. I also think we can agree it’s a bit of a reach to say I had an attitude. I was quite friendly and relaxed during the cut, and even left a tip, positive feedback, and recommendation in my review. And nope, I got 2 lines the first haircut (1 hard part+1 line), not one (so I already knew it was going to be more, but not 3x more). Original review: 1st haircut was $5 extra for a design (1 hard part and 1 shaved-in line), which is reasonable. But 2nd time turned into $15 extra (37.5% increase from $40 base price) extra just to get 1 more line (because now it’s “3 different designs”) without a heads up before the cut started. He’s skilled and friendly, but this didn’t feel too great 😕, especially since my design was pretty simple (3 lines) while his portfolio has other designs with way more lines, slashes, curves, and complexity. I’m confused why the 1st haircut wasn’t $10 extra when I had just 2 lines, and wonder if he charged $5 for every line, curve, and slash in his other fancy designs. Sucks bc I was pretty set on him as my new go-to barber. I like his vibe, love his passion and detail, and thought we hit it off pretty well. Still tipped him out of respect for the time and effort, and maybe it’s just miscommunication or a misunderstanding, but still didn’t feel very fair. If loose pricing about designs isn’t a concern I’d still recommend him. The cut itself was still good. Show more

I understand but I did tell you it was gonna be more & you said okay. You also came with a bad attitude & I don't know if you even listen. The first time you only asked for one little line and this second time it was 3 which the more designs you get the more expensive it gets. My recommendation is go ahead and look for a barber that will charge cheaper and that will charge what you want. Good luck.
