Blow out

When I booked the appointment, I requested to have just a blow out. Although, Melissa was really nice and I felt she did a good job on my hair, she ga...ve me a silk press. I did not ask for a silk press and I think what kind of conflicted me was that I didnt realize she wasnt doing a blow out until she was done. I've never gotten a silk press before (that was my first time). She never asked for my permission to do something other than what I requested while she was doing my hair and I'm not sure if she would have ever said anything to me without me saying "I've never had a blow out with saran wrap before." After I said that, she said it was a silk press and that they were having a special even though I didnt see anything online about them having a special when I initally booked the appointment. She charged me the same price as the blow out + a dollar more. I think it was nice that she didnt charge me the price of a silk press (even though she voluntarily did it), but she still charged me a dollar more than the price of a blow out (she charged me $51). The fact that I didnt actually get the service I wanted is a bit conflicting because like I said, she did a good job and my hair looked nice, but its not the service that I requested. I am used to getting blow outs and I am definitely not used to a stylist doing anything other than the service that I requested especially without my permission. Show more

I loved My experience with this young lady. She styled my hair exactly as I wanted it and I have received SO many compliments on the style. She ensure...d that I was comfortable throughout my service and let me tell you something, this young lady shampooed and cleansed my scalp like none other. I could write a book about that in and of itself. Omg! It was to perfection. All of the ladies in the salon were very kind, professional and worked well together. The whole process was great! Melissa and the other woman were very nice and professional. Melissa did exactly what I wanted/needed her to do and the r...esults was so pretty. The only reason it’s not a 5 star is because there was some miscommunication and it is hard getting in touch with the salon as a first time customer. Show more
