The shop staff was so nice and very helpful! It was my first tattoo so I arrived at the shop a bit early, and the staff was so kind answering all my q...uestions and helping with placement. I also needed some jewelry for a conch piercing and they were so informative talking mw through the different options. Yoyo was GREAT! She was very clear with what to expect and the best practices for aftercare. The design was a bit of a mix of different inspo pics, and she was so open to building exactly what I was looking for. Lastly, I had difficulty finding coverage at work and made some frantic, last minute scheduling adjustments— but Yoyo was so understanding of all my emails and appointment adjusting. Miraculously, I was able to find coverage the night before my appointment so we went with our original time. Overall, a great experience and excellent service from the whole staff! Show more

From the very beginning, Yohana was very prompt with responding to my questions via email even on a Sunday when she wasn't working. Immediately, I fel...t at ease with this initial interaction and booked an appointment. Later on her IG, she had posted she had a cancellation and I was able to move my appointment up with zero fuss. The Red Octopus Morningside location was easy to find with plenty of parking. The shop was clean and tidy. The person at check-in was pleasant, professional, and made the business part of the appointment easy. They already had the picture of what I wanted and presented three different sizes with cost for consideration. Yohana was friendly and very thorough. It was my first tattoo so I didn't know what I didn't know. She explained what the process was, everything she was doing at the time, and answered questions I didn't think to ask. She chatted with me throughout the actual tattoing which took my mind off the discomfort. She explained my options for aftercare and gave me clear verbal and written instructions for the following week. The appointment from start to finish was smooth and quick. My tattoo turned out exactly the way I wanted it. It was a very positive experience and I would book with her again. Show more
