I went to the barbershop after scheduling a shape up for $15. I told him I wanted the back of my neck cleaned up and around my ears and sideburns. He ...said OK and got to work eight minutes later we’re done and he asked me for $42. I said I was expecting the 15 and he said that because the Clippers came out, it became a haircut and now it is 42. He never told me upfront. The barber did a very nice job with the shape up, and I was satisfied with it for $15. An eight minute trim for $42 is just not worth it and I will not be back.

Sorry about your experience Ethan. I agree you should have been asked before the service. Unfortunately the barber is right on it changing from shape up is a different service. I had been getting cut by Anthony Kiddy for almost two years, so when I found out he moved away, I’m not gonna lie… I was stressed. Anyone loyal to th...eir barber knows the feeling. Switching barbers feels like starting over. But I got paired up with Gabe, and he did not disappoint. I asked for a high and tight fade, and he DELIVERED. Clean blend, sharp lines, tight taper, on point. No weird transition phase, no “it’ll grow on you” haircut. It was fire from the jump. Johnny G’s clearly doesn’t miss when it comes to talent. The consistency in that shop is real. I’m moving up north in a couple of months, and I already know I’ll still be making the drive back just to get cut here. That’s how solid it is.
