"equisite" braids, crap attitude. So, apparently the policy with this one is if you're more than 5 minutes late then your appointment is cancelled an...d your deposit is NOT returned (50% of the service cost). I was scheduled for 8:30am and arrived at her door (after finding parking on the sketchy street this place is on) at 8:37am. I wasn't willing to accept that grift so I asked to change the style and length. I was told she'd only do that if I paid an additional late fee.  Because I have things to do, we continued. And even though she accepted this arrangement her attitude was crap. Alesia continued to speak to me in a tone of voice that was rude, unprofessional, and just unacceptable. One shouldn't even speak to their own child like that, let alone a paying customer who is changing their requests to suit you. Black women already deal with so much without hair braiders acting like they are doing us favors when they are being PAID. I'm simply not willing to accept such attitude, not from anyone. On top of all that, she did the most boneless medium braids I've ever had, clearly resentful of the fact that I wouldn't let her steal from me. To me, if you agree to a job, you stand by your work and do it right, but not here! The search for a professional, courteous, reasonable hair braider continues. Show more

this your second time booking an appointment on this quiet non sketchy street across from a school, you were 10mins late to your 8:30 appointment, not a text or call was placed to let me know your running late,i give a 5 min grace period which is listed on the policy as well as the deposit. After 5 mins booksy automatically marks you as a no show unless you contact me to state your running behind so i can adjust time. Sadly you did neither , yet expected me to be a mind reader and to automatically know you were " up the street" as you claimed. The attitude & tone was matched while you were at my door with the attitude first there’s proof. You continue to keep the attitude with your smart mouth which prompted me to ask who you were speaking to and would you like to leave yet you sat there with the nastiest energy, rolling your eyes, as you read thru a bunch of negative reviews on BAYAREA HAIRSTYLISTS & BRAIDERS with a attitude the whole time. Love you go around searching for problems via others reviews. However you were client 1 of 4 yesterday. running late throws me off schedule. Yes a late fee was charged after i offered you to reschedule. you sat there still running your mouth, I never got over on you when you paid less than the actual service it self. It’s unfortunate you failed to read the policy that's been in place for 4yrs. My mother is a whole witness to your attitude which this isn’t the first time you approached me with a nasty attitude.

Im so happy i found Alesia, its been more than a week and my braids still look new. Alesia is great at what she does, her parts are so neat, clean and... crisp and each braid looks perfect. As a Muslim woman its been hard finding a private space to get my hair braided so I was overjoyed when I found Alesia. Her space is comfortable and accommodating and I loved the conversations we had. She also has great taste in tv shows, I almost forgot I was there to get my hair braided and not to hang out. I love my hair so much and I will most definitely be back. Show more

Wow! I’m shook! Aleasia is a true professional and a beautiful person inside and out. I’ll just get it out now.. I’m a white lady!!! lol So let’s j...ust say I’ve been turned away and I don’t feel mad of course but I was giving up on my dream hair until I spoke to Alesia. She went above and beyond to make me feel comfortable and appreciated. She is a wonderful conversationalist with an interesting and impressive life to talk about. Alesia also appreciates my humor and that’s a one way ticket to my heart ;) She cares deeply for her community and I am just so impressed by her. She gave me a braid down and it’s wonderful. I can wear my sew ins correctly now and I feel beautiful and comfortable with her braids. She is very conciencias about sanitation and uses quality indie products that also help her community. Her studio is cozy and the location is easy to park. Pricing is great and accessible. Alesia enjoys making all people feel beautiful with her talents. .
