Having recently moved to Berkeley from the north bay I was in need of a local stylist. My main search criteria when searching online was they had to h...ave a website because to me, that is indicative of someone who is truly about their business, as having a website is one of the best ways to market yourself and your services. Exquisite Braids has a website and so I booked my first appointment with her last month. What further impressed me was when I showed up for my first appointment I had missed the communication she sent me however, she was extremely professional and rebooked my appointment and waived the appointment reservation fee. All this is on top of the amazing quality of her work! My braids have never lasted as long as they do when done by Exquisite Braids and that in and of itself says a lot! Her prices are reasonable as well. So if you value quality and professionalism then Exquisite Braids is the stylist for you!!! UPDATE: Photos added and to further add to the quality of the braids, I ride a motorcycle and had been wearing my doorag under my helmet. Long story short it made my helmet fit too tight. For the last two days I have not worn my doorag and worried that it would make them frizzy or loose and neither of those have happened. Show more

Not really sure how or why the service worsened over time but the three times I’ve been, the braids and service got worse. The past two times I’ve gon...e, my part has been JACKED up. When I went on 7/10/2023, I went back into the braider twice and still ended up leaving with an off center part. Check images for time stamps. Will not be going back to this braider but I guess you get what you pay for. Show more

Hi Alex nothing could’ve been a red flag if you booked three times. However our text conversation doesn’t match your review. Yes i did graduate and yes marinello did close for financial aid fraud thats neither here or there, However i immediately offered fix and apologized for the mistake. I expected this bipolar behavior from a woman not a man who was afraid to actually say how you felt personally via text yet you continued reach out to schedule an appointment every time so it’s hard to believe you actually felt like this when you showed up each time smelling like a sack of hot smothered onions and was all smiles every time you arrived and left. You talked about your gf n her family etc yet didn't mention anything to me about how you felt via text or while you was sitting in my face until after you posted this review. I wish i was able to show the text thread because your attitude and tone is very different from this review But have a blessed day.
