My goal is to not leave negative reviews for small businesses. I prefer to work out any issues and not put reviews out for minor inconveniences. Thi...s was my first time here and my first time getting lashes. The shop was clean and decorated well. I was not greeted when I walked in so I said hello to the two staff working. My appointment was at 9am… around 9:15 I asked if Vanessa would be coming in. A customer stated she rides together with other staff and they were running behind. Closer to 9:30, Maria, the owner arrived and told me Vanessa would be there in 5 minutes. After another 10 minutes, a child of one of the other customers walked over to update me that Vanessa was almost there… At 9:40, I decided I could no longer wait and this was going to cut into my day as I had an event to host. I walked over to Maria and told her I I would like to cancel due to the delay and was told by another staff member that had just arrived that they planned to give me a discount. I asked if she was Vanessa and she said “no, but Vanessa would be in soon”. Maria then stated Vanessa was new and lived outside of Riverside. She mentioned the discount but It wasn’t until I said I had to leave and wanted to cancel the discount was mentioned. By this time it is now 9:45 and she arrived… I waited that entire time and was never offered a beverage or any type of accommodation for the huge delay. I’m an understanding person and if this was handled differently I may have stayed to give this salon a try. I was so pissed by this point there was no way I could have sat there 2 hours for lashes. Disappointed. I was so excited to try a local small business and also have lashes for my event. I left with no lashes and an hour of my day I could not get back. :( Show more
