-1 star: booked Mimi for Friday 9am (before an important meeting) and hours later she rescheduled (unfortunately the $100 deposit was nonrefundable) -...1 star: booked Mimi specifically for a wash/retwist/style originally (not the “special”). By the time of my appointment I just wanted a wash/retwist and the person I booked wasn’t even available for that. Instead had another stylist do my hair. -1 star: the most painful retwist I’ve ever had in my life. I understand everyone needs practice but I only book veterans for a reason. -1 star: 6 hours in the shop and I wasn’t even waiting behind anyone. From what I’ve seen online combined with my own experience, this place is hit or miss. Book at your own risk. Show more

If there was an option to leave ZERO stars I would. I had a CONFIRMED appointment for 2:30 last Saturday. I paid the deposit, left work early, drove 2... hours and paid tolls only to get there at 2pm and told the stylist didn't come to work. She claimed to have texted me asking to reschedule but I received nothing. No calls, no texts, no communication via the app. Nothing. Even as I was sitting in the salon past 3pn hoping that someone's would show up - my 2:30 appointment was still showing as "CONFIRMED". If stylist aren't available at certain times - you should not be able to book those times in the app. 🤷🏽‍♀️ Show more

Additionally, I sent you a screenshot showing that Alyssa had messaged you the night before. Unfortunately, she didn't inform me about this, and had I known, I would have ensured your hair was done on the scheduled day. Once again, I deeply apologize this mistake and kindly ask for another opportunity to make things right.

Wouldn’t recommend this place. Booked this appointment for some self care and felt so disrespected and humiliated before walking out of this shop. The...y only do your hair if they feel like it. Booked an appointment showed up to the shop and Alyssa claimed she was overbooked. Drove half an hour, got there 30 minutes early and sat there for another 30 minutes before she canceled the appointment while laughing with the other hairstylists. Unprofessional experience. The level of selfh8 at this business is sad. Show more

Hello, I sincerely apologize for the inconvenience you experienced in the shop. Occasionally, the time required for each client extends beyond the initial estimate, which can lead to delays. In this instance, the client scheduled before you hadn't finished, and unfortunately, this caused your wait time to be longer than expected. As a braid shop, timing can sometimes be unpredictable, and I truly regret that you were affected. Alyssa informed me that she apologized to you and offered to send you to another braider we work with, but you declined the offer. While we do our best to avoid such situations, delays like this occasionally occur. Once again, I am very sorry for what happened. We would greatly appreciate it if you would consider giving us another chance to provide you with better service.
