My first visit here and I had such a wonderful experience! From the moment I walked in, the staff was welcoming and friendly. I had an appointment and... did not have to wait long, I went in wanting a new, fresh look, and I absolutely love the change! I got color, highlights, and a haircut, and I couldn’t be happier with how everything turned out. Blair was absolutely amazing, attentive, and incredibly knowledgeable about hair care, color, and highlights. He took the time to explain the look I wanted as I showed him a picture of the hairstyle I liked. Overall, it was such a positive experiences.

If I could give this place ZERO starts, I would. I made a last minute appt at Volume when I realized my son needed a cut before heading off to colleg...e later this week and our regular stylist (at another salon) could not squeeze us in. I hated to use someone new, but it was right across the street (we live in Waterchase) and really wanted to get him in somewhere, so we made the appt. Big mistake – should’ve gone with the bad hair instead. I was automatically assigned a stylist – Blair. I looked him up on the salon’s website. It said he was the owner, 20+ years’ experience. His posted philosophy stated that he “believe[d] the perfect cut . . . starts with the consultation. [They were] here to give the newest Hairstyle [sic] . . . that compliments your face shape . . . lifestyle, and maintenance that works best for you.” I was encouraged that my son would have a good experience with someone who knew what they were doing. LIES, I tell you. My son and I arrived a few minutes early. Blair rolled in a little later looking like something the cat dragged in. Just woke up? Hungover? Not sure. Admittedly, I was a bit concerned, but I remembered his “philosophy” and decided we’d roll with it. He seated my son and asked him what he wanted. We said we would appreciate his thoughts, expertise, suggestions. He sneered, “It’s your hair. I don’t know.” This went back and forth for a bit before we said to just cut it shorter with layers. Ok. He had the receptionist do the shampoo – she was sweet as pie. Meanwhile, Blair walked around snapping at his other stylists (isn’t it always uncomfortable to see a boss be a complete d*ck to staff?) until my son was ready for the cut. My son has a full head of long hair. It’s not a hard cut, but it takes a bit to get to it all. Is that what happened here? Nooooooo . . . Blair snipped 4-5x max before declaring it all done. My son looked at me stunned. I was stunned. How could he possibly be done? We didn’t know what to say, so we paid, left the obligatory tip (shouldn’t have), and left. Our regular stylist will be seeing him soon. Since then, my son and I have just marveled at how unbelievably brusque, unhelpful, and unprofessional the salon OWNER had been, not just to us but to his staff. I don’t care if he was having a bad day – we were new clients and our money is as green as anyone else’s. His behavior was inexcusable. Needless to say, we will not be back, and we will advise anyone and everyone to avoid this place as well.
