Small Knotless

DISCLAIMER: Real review. Booksy only allows clients who actually booked through their app and received their service to review. I would give this lady... a 0/5 if I could. Beyond unprofessional. Refused a refund after barely doing 1/5th of my service. Chantel didn’t even introduce herself when I walked in the salon, just frowned upon my entry and asked 3x “so who’s doing her hair”. She didn’t do the part of my service she actually DID do the way I asked at all.. far from what I wanted & a sloppy job. Had another stylist do the majority of my style. Prides herself on fast braiding yet my style took 7 hours. I wanted small, knotless, butt length braids and this is what I got. Hair is starting to come out the braids she did. Overall, the part of my hair that she did looks like a beginner job. My hair wasn’t even braided 1/3 of the way down when she was done and I had to pay someone else to fix it bc she failed to follow through with fixing her mistake. While the other young lady in the salon did a great job making the remaining parts and braids neat (way better than Chantel) the hairstyle over all still is not what I asked for. She still hasn’t refunded me and refuses to do so. ______ lol, Chantel is a liar. I have now attached her first response back to me clearly showing that she did my hair. I will also respond back to that response below ______ I booked my appointment for Wednesday ORIGINALLY & not even 5 minutes after booking chantel called me and told me the 50% off special was for Thursday then asked if I could come in then. I agreed— as I was free Thursday too—- but that was truly the first red flag. Why would she make the deal available for Wednesday if it was a Thursday service? unprofessional. Chantel did not apologize for this either. However, on that phone call I cleared up all questions regarding my appointment INCLUDING the fact that I wanted butt length. Chantel said butt length was fine it’d just be an extra fee and I said okay that works (bc money isn’t a problem). Chantel didn’t finish my service bc she had to go somewhere (the same as she did to another lady’s daughter in the reviews) and continuously told me to let her know when it was 5:15. However, she did eventually return to the salon and did another man’s hair, with full wash blow dry and braid while not even checking on my head in the slightest. The other stylist who did the remainder of my hair offered to HELP because chantel complained atleast 3-4 times about how much hair I had. I told Chantel I wanted my hair tucked underneath the colored hair and confirmed it was okay through text ahead of time. When I arrived at the salon and she saw my hair she said “and you want this tucked?” I said yes, and she proceeded to talk about how she could blend the hair with my hair and make it look cute, and did that instead of what I asked. Then she asked if I wanted curly ends to which I responded I WILL LET YOU KNOW AT THE END. She made the decision to add curls to the hair without my permission. I’m not a hard client to please. Although my hair wasn’t buttlength, nor tucked how I asked, I would’ve been ok with that. I even would’ve been okay with her actually curling the ENDS. However, chantel barely braiding my hair was completely unacceptable. My hair wasn’t even braided 1/3 of the way down. I had more hair out than braided. I feel as though chantel cut numerous corners out of laziness (not tucking my hair as I asked, not giving butt length as I asked, making my parts and braids different sizes, leaving more braiding hair OUT than braided) and because of the amount of hair I had. She is not a stylist. My front part is a little crooked and there i...s an uneven amount of braids from one side to the other. She did tell me hair was included but mid service she ran out of hair and made me go to the store to buy more but didn’t reimburse me. Show more

I am a regular customer on booksy so I frequently try out new salons. I booked with this shop for myself and my daughter during the early part of the ...week. My daughters appointment was for 5:15pm for braids with beads, but she was still occupied with another customer so I left her with the hope of her hair being started soon, which Chantell had assured me of. I was lied to numerous times about her hair beliebing that hair had been started. Chantell never did my daughters hair her daighter did a ruah job on it when they saw it was getting late and I would be expecting her to be done since it was 8pm by that time. She called me again saying she didn't like how her assistant (a.k.a her daughter) did her hair. Overall, she is very unprofessional in every possible way. Be cautious when booking. My daughter left in tears because her headed hurted and she was looking forward to braids with beads, but instead she braids which resembled prison braids. Not to mention she was still braiding the womans hair that was there when we first arrived at 5:15pm and here it is 8:30pm which is proof she never started my daughters hair. I attached a photo of my daughters hair. We are in the process of taking tjem down since they look horrible. I also attached a message I sent to her.👎👎👎👎👎👎 Show more

I accept every criticism you’ve said. I didn’t like the work myself. I do get booked on other sites as well and got clients that I didn’t even know was coming. When I post the pictures of today clients and the work I did you’ll see what I mean. Still, your right. Communication could of solved all this and made arrangements for me myself to do it personally.
