I experienced a serious lack of professionalism when I visited this salon. I walked in asking for a balayage that did not contrast from my natural hai...r color, and was instead given highlights (even after asking to confirm that this was not what was being done) with no consistent color throughout my hair. The colors range from white to yellow to brassy red, which is upsetting considering none of the tones in my hair were what I had asked for either. I also expected my appointment to last two hours as described in my booking confirmation, and instead I was laughed at when I asked how long it was truly going to take- I ended up being at the salon for over five hours even after explaining I had other appointments to run to immediately after my scheduled time at the salon. After a while I said I wanted my hair to dry naturally so I could leave, and instead I was put in curlers under a dryer, then had my hair blown out, straightened, and curled even when I said I did not want these services, and was charged for them regardless. I was also severely and superficially made fun of. For many years, I have had breakage in my hair due to alopecia, and the person I worked with started showing off this breakage to colleagues and other customers and trying to blame me for it. It took me everything not to cry. I also understood when the person I worked with said things in Spanish (as if I would not understand them, as I am fluent in Spanish and made this clear), such as “Americans are usually very ugly but she’s pretty,” “she’s mad because it’s taking forever,” and was cursed at a couple times. It is a shame that I spent 200-300 dollars to get my hair done for a special family event, and will now have to get it redone entirely somewhere else, at an additional cost. This was unfortunate for my money, time, and confidence, and I really hope I can get refunded in full. Show more
