Long story short: Great location, clean and modern. Ignacio (my barber at the time) was great, fast and efficient — also listens to input and pivots a...ccordingly. Long story long: Despite a shaky start, I'm ultimately giving five stars, and I'll explain why. I arrived 15 minutes early to my appointment — my appointment was at booked for 12pm to 1pm, and I got there at 11:45am. I checked in with Ignacio (my barber) and waited to be seated. It wasnt until 12:15pm that he finished his previous customer's haircut and called me over to sit in the chair. I figured, "No big deal, it happens. Maybe the customer kept asking for changes or it was a complex cut." However, as Ignacio began to work on my haircut, everything made sense. There was a soccer ("futbol") game on the TV and every single minute, Ignacio would stand completely motionless staring at the screen for at least 10 seconds. Eventually, he would look back at my hair and resume cutting. This isnt the usual 'occasionally distracted by excitement on the screen'. At one point he went to turn my head — by holding the top of it — and just kept his hand there for 20 seconds as he stared at the TV, hahaha. I'm never the kind of customer to be rude or passive-aggressive (which as you'll see is why this is still a 5-star rating), but I was really getting anxious — not only because at the rate he was working, my appointment would probably have taken over an hour and a half (well beyond my appointment window), but I had an important meeting that I was going to miss if he kept at that pace. I waited 20 minutes to see if he'd eventually lose interest in the soccer game and dig his heels in to work on the haircut, but he never did. So, instead saying something pointed to get him to stop staring at the TV or whatever someone else might say, I just said to him something related to the style I wanted and added, "I'm just anxious about being late for this meeting I have at 1:30pm." After that, he said, "Oh, you've got an appointment!" I noticed a subtle change in his demeanor and he absolutely kicked ass. He stopped paying attention to the TV and carefully worked on the cuts. I never got the impression that he was offended, and definitely didn't get the vibe that he was rushing or half-assing my haircut. When I first sat in the chair, I showed him old photos of my hair with the style I wanted and he did wonderful job matching it. Near the end, I even asked him if he could make a couple last-minute changes (shortening the back and thinning the top) and he perfectly did so. He was a professional through and through and I loved the result. He also wrapped up my haircut at 12:59pm, just in time. As for why I'm writing this here instead of just telling him: He's the one who asked me to leave a review on Booksy. Also, it was very busy in there and the soccer game's volume was turned up high so explaining this in a practical manner would've been tough. I also didn't want cause him to run late into his next customer's appointment. Lastly, by leaving this here, I'm telling everyone: Trust this guy. He's a professional and he'll get it done, and done well. Thanks Ignacio. Show more
