RUN! This is not a professional salon. I’m also guessing most of the reviews are paid for because this was a terrible experience . If I could give zer...o stars, I would… I have been getting braids for 20+ years and this was the worst braiding experience I’ve had. I requested medium knot less braids. The owner did my hair. She used less than one pack of hair to braid my head. I left with no more than 20 braids. When I asked her if my braids should look so empty, she stated that “this is how knotless braids should look” even though I’ve had Knotless several times before. The hair was SO bad, I took out the braids the following day. $300 wasted. When I tried to call to get my refund, her store was not open. RUN! Do not get your hair braided here. The owner has responded that my hair was balding. In fact, it was not; I got braids that were full and beautiful. This is just an unprofessional woman — which is why her response is so long — DEFENSIVE! Show more

Dear Customer, I appreciate you taking the time to leave a review of your experience even though you state it is not a pleasant one. To be fair I want to give context and clarify a few things. 1. When you came to me you shared that you had been to another Braider who pulled all your hair out. I noticed your damaged, thin and balding scalp but still decided to do you hair with care anyway. 2. I am not just a Braider, I also specialize in hair care and braided your hair accordingly. I gave you medium sized parts in order to not stress your already stressed hair. (Smaller braids and parts would have pulled on the strands of your hair, pulling them out of your scalp.) 3. Since you complained about your hair, we agreed that you would come the next day for a solution to your discontentment. I was at my shop at noon as we agreed and waited 30 minutes and you never showed up. Finally, I take pride in my work and I care deeply about my customers. I have a great reputation and only want to continue enhancing my business to benefit my customers. I am a single mom who is an entrepreneur and I work very hard. It’s unfortunate that you would warn people to "Run". I am content that I did the best I could with your request and scalp condition. I wish you all the best.

I got medium knotless box braids. As stated on the website they typically braid to mid back. I didn’t want my hair to be that long but she coerced me ...into getting that length I’m guessing to avoid lowering the price. I’m tender headed and knotless braids aren’t supposed to hurt. I let her know yet she still was braiding too tight. That same night I woke up with my head pounding. The parts were rectangles not boxes. To make matters worse I lost A LOT of hair at take down.
