    • 1st Fitting

      Numerous measurements, try-on observations with modifications, and design. (Please wear a longsleeve collared shirt, and dress shoes for this appointment.) Fabric selection will determine pricing. On average a 2pc suit ranges from $2,000-2,300. Our opening price-point for a 2pc suit is $1500.

    • 2nd Fitting

      4-5 weeks after order is placed, and has landed at the shop. Any necessary alterations will be marked, and pinned. Garments are sent out to a local tailor to complete alterations. This usually takes up to 2 weeks for alterations to be completed. Initial alterations will be taken care of by the house. Additional alterations after the 3rd fitting will be the clients responsibility. Even so we are always open to any questions, or concerns regarding any garments produced by Dandy.

    • General Inquiry

      A deposit will be collected of $125 for a general inquiry appointment. If a 1st fitting is booked in the future, the $125 will be applied to any garments purchased. If the client doesn't book a 1st fitting the $125 pays for the time. Any questions regarding fabric, construction, turnaround time, cost, etc. can be discussed.

    • 3rd Fitting

      All alterations will have been completed. Client will try all garments on to make sure everything is satisfactory. Future orders will be discussed.

I have been casually "window shopping" at Dandy for some years as I am a blue collar schlub & the briefcase of cash is always just an arms length away...... however I have finally made the decision to treat myself to a custom made suit & Dandy is literally the only place in the country that I would give my money to. Nelson, the proprietor, is extremely courteous, kind, & knowledgeable about design, fabrics, buttons, & just style period. Walking into his clothier is like walking on to a movie set in the best way - it's in an unassuming storefront in the historic Corktown neighborhood in Detroit & nothing is out of place - including the barber that operates out of there most days. I cannot say enough great things about Dandy - I think it is an oasis & any man that wants to treat himself to quality, custom made clothing should bring their business here.
