    • Acne Treatment- continuous care session

Keep your skin on the fastest track to absolute clarity. This bi-weekly therapeutic acne treatment is strictly for clients currently enrolled in the Skin-Deep Acne Program at Blooming Skin Care & Acne Clinic who have already completed their initial consultation and skin evaluation.  Because acne takes up to 90 days to form before it is even visible on the surface, these bi-weekly sessions allow us to intervene and adapt to your skin’s real-time needs. Each adaptive treatment is explicitly tailored to your current skin condition and focuses on progressive clearing rather than a traditional "one-size-fits-all" facial.  Every session incorporates a structured, results-driven process to clear active acne and support your skin barrier: Customized Exfoliation: Selection of a safe, gentle exfoliant based on your current skin condition that day. Hygienic Extractions: Professional extraction of blackheads, whiteheads, and deep pore blockages to prevent scarring. High-Frequency Disinfection: Use of targeted high-frequency waves to kill deep acne bacteria and eliminate redness. Advanced Sedation: Calming and reducing active inflammation using as many as 6 advanced, non-invasive machines. Program Details: Prerequisite: Must have already completed the Initial Acne Consultation & Evaluation. Frequency: Strictly every 2 weeks. Timeline: Expect to maintain this schedule for 3 to 4 months for maximum, sustainable clearance. Home Care: We will assess and tweak your custom home product routine during this session.

    • Acne Consultation

Take the first step to healing your acne!  All new clients should start with either the Acne Consultation or the Consultation + Treatment. Meet with an Indiana-licensed esthetician and Certified Acne Expert to work towards clear, healthier skin! We will discuss everything from what acne is, your specific acne and skin type, and lifestyle factors that could be causing breakouts. What will happen during your acne consultation? Our process always starts with a complete skin evaluation, visually and by touch, to determine your acne type. We'll take a complete history of current and past acne treatment. Check current skincare for pore-clogging ingredients. We'll talk about what truly causes your acne along with the things that make it worse, like food, lifestyle, medicines, and makeup. It could be necessary to perform a sensitivity and/or patch test. We're going to explain everything about clearing acne, and more. We'll work together to develop a step-by-step acne management plan. Until you tackle the root cause of your acne, your breakouts will continue. Our acne program provides optimal results, particularly in the initial phases of treatment, by offering treatment in two-week intervals over the course of approximately 3-4 months. Acne formation isn’t an overnight process; it can take up to 90 days for a clogged pore to become a visible eruption. Biweekly treatments allow your specialist to intervene and address the acne at various stages, affecting the cycle more effectively. Treatments like extractions can quickly clear existing blemishes, while the recommended home-care regimen works to prevent new acne from forming. Biweekly appointments provide an opportunity to make adjustments to your home-care routine as your skin adapts to the products, preventing stagnation in progress. This continuous fine-tuning is crucial for optimizing results. Your acne specialist can monitor progress, address concerns, and motivate you throughout the process, with ongoing support and adjustments to your skincare routine as needed. Regular adjustments are crucial for maintaining progress and avoiding setbacks. If you miss a treatment, contact your Acne Specialist for advice on modifying your home care routine. Since acne can take up to 90 days to appear, you might still experience some breakouts even with a new regimen. These are likely older lesions surfacing, which your acne specialist can address with extractions and treatments during biweekly visits. *This mostly information-gathering acne consult does not include treatment. If you would like to receive treatment on the day of your consultation, please book the Acne Consultation + Treatment service. After your initial consultation, choose the Acne Treatment Continuous Care Session.

    • Level 1 Spicule Peel - Bio Microneedling

Level 1 is the ideal introduction to spicules (aka liquid micro-needling) for managing clogged pore smoothing texture, fading pigmentation, plumping scarring, stimulating collagen, and much more.  Using a mild spicule peel as a prep treatment can be extremely effective for enhancing the results of more intense scar removal by optimizing skin health. Making Level 1 a perfect prep for our more intense Level 2 Spicule Peel Treatment. Spicule micro-needling is unlike traditional chemical peels. It uses microscopic needles to exfoliate the skin, stimulate cellular turnover, and promote collagen production. The result is a brighter complexion, improved texture, and a reduction in the appearance of fine lines, wrinkles, and blemishes. The treatment also offers whitening and lightening effects, making it ideal for addressing pigmentation issues and evening out skin tone.  This high-performance Korean skincare treatment contains microscopic spicules, or hydrolyzed sea sponge, stem cells, peptides, and plant extracts. Delivering these biologically active substances through the upper layers to reach the basal layers of the skin. Using spicules provides a safer alternative to traditional chemical peels, as they are suitable for all skin tones and types, including dry, aging, pigmented, and acne-prone skin.  Benefits: refreshed skin tone revitalized blood circulation and cell regeneration improved acne scarring brightened pigmentation refined pore size wrinkle improvement no need for anesthetic no skin breakage no bleeding no visible needles. This exfoliation treatment can be done weekly as a stand-alone service for those targeting specific concerns OR included as part of a monthly elevated facial. *not recommended for those allergic to shellfish. Level 2 spicule peeling /bio-microneedling is a resurfacing treatment that is free of harsh acids, making it safe for clients with melasma and pregnant women.   Spicules, aka liquid microneedling, are quickly becoming the go-to alternative for microneedling. This peel works by driving spicules (800,000 ppm) into the skin, which stimulates collagen, exfoliates, and pulls pigment, all while delivering a polypharmacy of vitamins and nutrients into the skin, which helps improve numerous skin concerns. The skin will be red/inflamed and warm to the touch for 2-3 days. This is normal and should subside in 3+ days. Some flaking or peeling may occur around days 2-4. Full results in 7 days. • Brightening Facial Peel

The Brightening Facial Peel contains a host of melanin inhibitors: Kojic Acid, Bearberry Extract, Licorice Root, and of course Lactic Acid. This is a gentle, yet effective treatment that is suitable for first-time peel clients. This peel works by gently breaking the bonds that hold dead skin cells together, providing gentle exfoliation. It also helps improve the skin's natural moisturizing factor by encouraging it to make more ceramides. This gentle skin-brightening facial peel will improve the tone, texture, and clarity of your skin while reducing hyperpigmentation, fine lines, and acne lesions. Noticeable results after just one peel, compelling results after three to six peels. SESSIONS + INTERVALS - Experts recommend a series of 3, 2 weeks apart. Rest for 2-3 months and repeat the series semi-annually until you achieve the desired results. *Avoid exfoliating actives and the use of retinoids for 3 to 5 days prior to treatment. Keys to optimizing brightening peels: To effectively treat hyperpigmentation, one must first prevent existing discoloration from worsening and new patches from forming. It's important to use a broad-spectrum sunscreen with a minimum SPF of 30 to safeguard your skin from the sun. It's important to avoid damaging the skin, as this can trigger inflammation and subsequently cause hyperpigmentation. You should treat your skin with care. Combining a regular home skincare regimen with professional treatments yields the most effective results for hyperpigmentation. Consistent use of specialized skincare at home preserves the benefits from professional treatments. We advise clients to include ingredients that block tyrosinase and also those that brighten the skin. Applying skincare products in the correct order is crucial to get the best results. Apply products in increasing order of thickness, from thinnest to thickest. This guarantees optimal absorption and maximizes the skincare benefits of each product.

    • Elaine Brennan Get Glowing Micro-Peel

This special blend of Resorcinol, Salicylic Acid, and Kojic Acid creates a peel that's both remarkably effective and safe for a wide range of skin types, delivering excellent results. It provides true skin renewal, culminating in a remarkable boost to elasticity, texture, and skin tone. The destruction of cells in the epidermis's deeper strata by some chemical peels poses a risk of damaging the skin's delicate tissues. Risks are eliminated by the unique base ingredients of our special peeling formulation, which cannot penetrate the skin or carry the peeling process too deeply. As a result, no harmful side effects occur. To tackle minor skin concerns such as uneven skin tone, acne, fine lines, wrinkles, sun damage, and blocked pores, a series of treatments scheduled at four-to six-week intervals is recommended. With this peel, you'll experience much shorter downtime than with laser resurfacing, and it comes without the risk of thermal injury.  This peel offers a good balance of potent results and a reasonable recovery period, which is why it's favored for tackling moderate skin issues. Typically, the one-hour treatment leads to light shedding approximately four to five days after the procedure. We suggest four to six treatments, scheduled every three to six weeks. If you're prepared to rejuvenate your skin and have concerns, we recommend arranging a consultation appointment. Important Pre- and Post-Treatment Guidelines Before Your Peel Avoid facial waxing or depilatory creams 14 days before the treatment. Stop using products containing strong active ingredients such as retinoids, alpha hydroxy acids, or salicylic acid at least one week prior. Post-Care Instructions To maximize the benefits of your treatment, follow these aftercare guidelines: Avoid applying active skincare ingredients like salicylic acid, glycolic acid, or benzoyl peroxide until sensitivity resolves. Use lightweight moisturizers instead of thick emollients to encourage natural skin renewal. Stay vigilant with sunscreen application, even on cloudy days, to prevent pigmentation. Avoid depilatory creams or waxing for 14 days post-treatment.

    • Melapro Plus Cold Peel

Melapro Cold Peel introduces a new standard in treating stubborn pigmentation—delivering transformative results without the downtime of traditional peels. A unique oil-based, non-keratolytic formula is exceptionally well-tolerated, making it an ideal choice for sensitive skin and higher Fitzpatrick types prone to post-inflammatory hyperpigmentation. What sets this peel apart is its unique time-based mechanism. Unlike conventional peels that depend on surface exfoliation or low pH for intensity, the Melapro Cold Peel works at the melanocyte level to directly regulate pigment formation. At its core is 10% 4-Butylresorcinol (Rucinol), a next-generation tyrosinase inhibitor clinically shown to outperform hydroquinone in reducing melasma and pigmentation—safely and effectively. Antioxidants like Glutathione and botanical extracts further support brightening and barrier health, ensuring the treatment is both corrective (texture refinement) and restorative. No downtime, customizable intensity based on treatment duration, and proven efficacy in addressing melasma, PIH, and discoloration, it’s a breakthrough tool for managing even the most challenging pigmentation cases. Pre-Care For clients prone to PIH or with melanin-rich skin, begin a tyrosinase inhibitor several weeks prior to support outcomes. We have several in our web-store that we can recommend. Discontinue exfoliating actives 7 days prior to treatment. In Treatment Experience Melapro may tingle or itch, both of which are normal. Post Treatment Care Home care is tailored to each client's primary skin concerns with little to no visible peeling. Treatment Cadence A series of 3, every few weeks is recommended.
