Driver & FW Wood Fitting

I cannot recommend Matt enough. I've had several custom fittings before, and Matt stands head and shoulders above the rest. It's not that the other fi...ttings were bad, in fact I came away from them with clubs that fit me well and that I like; enjoying the experiences and still maintaining a relationship with those fitters at times. However, Matt just puts in so much more time and effort into REALLY making sure that everything about the fit is exactly correct. The other times I've been fit for clubs, we'll go through a few options, find a shaft that works, and then boom we're done. Time to move on. With Matt, he's never satisfied that once you find a good fit, it's the right one - it's just the starting point. When he finds a good head / shaft combination, then it's time to go hunting for more club/shaft combinations that fit that profile and really work through the process. I did a fitting for the top end of my bag, and across 3 club slots (Driver, Fairway wood, Hybrid) I hit 160 shots. I never once felt rushed or that he wasn't totally committed to finding the best fit that also fit my budget. Not only did he not push for a super premium shaft option that the manufacturer doesn't support, he often times moved away from those options to ensure that the price didn't get wildly inflated. I came away from the fitting feeling like I had the absolute perfect tools to use to help me better my golf game and at almost the exact same price I would pay if I walked into a super store and picked a club off the rack with a stock shaft ($20 upcharge over retail on a $600 driver for a slightly more expensive shaft). I CANNOT recommend Matt enough, and in the week since I've been fit, I've told at least 4 different groups of people about him and how great he is. I will be using Matt for all of my fitting needs going forward. A++++++ Show more

I'm new to golf and still learning the fundamentals and developing a swing. I couldn't have asked for a better fitting experience. None of the big box... store pressure or awkwardness. And all of the guidance and attention to detail you need to feel more confident in your swing matching your clubs. It felt like learning from a patient, long-term friend, and, from now on, it is the only place I'll buy clubs and the place I'll recommend to all of my friends. Show more

I could not have asked for a better experience for my first time fitting. Matt was incredibly helpful and supportive and made me feel confident in my ...golf ability by adjusting a few things in my swing during my fitting which helped me strike the ball better without altering my swing too drastically. I have been through a number of fitting experiences, and Matt is by far the best! Fitters usually stick to a one size fits all approach and if you do ...not ask the right questions you can end up getting fit to their mold. Matt will always ask questions and allow you to try everything possible to try and narrow down good options. Matt always tries to see what can we do with what you have, and always checks if anything you currently own works well for you. He never tries to sell or upsell you on anything. If all you need is a little less tape on one iron after 2 hours that’s what he will prescribe. I have had a putter and iron fitting from Matt and will truly say if I live on the other side of the planet I will only let him look at my clubs and provide recommendations. Matt is absolutely terrific. It is obvious he knows his stuff and steers you in the right direction. It's easy when you get fitted for clubs to have... preconceived ideas about what you want instead of what works best for you. Matt isn't strictly data driven - your feel and visual preferences can and do play a role - but he will (gently) steer you away from what might not be the best choice. I came away with a set that I totally did not expect to buy but I know is going to work best for my game. Great experience from start to (almost) finish. Show more
