The first half of my full-bag fitting at Golf Doctor DC was EXACTLY what I hoped for. After years of lessons and so-called fittings and expensive club... purchases, I was never confident that my clubs were the right ones for me. Matt answered all of my questions, from grip size to loft and lie angle to club length and putter type. I look forward to the second half of the fitting process and to playing better golf this year. Matt was great! He took the time to get to know me, my game, challenges, and impact of a recent knee replacement. Spent time working through some diff...erent set up’s, tweaking things along the way. Settled on a very pragmatic set up. I’ve had fittings at other places before (Club Champion, PGASS Tour Van, club pro, Manufacturer Demo Days), and Matt by far exceeded expectations. No pressure. No upsell. Just honest interpretation, discussion, and a realistic approach to what would work for me best. Definitely recommend and will be back to see him in the future.

I was extremely impressed with my fitting session with Matt! He took the time to get to know me and my golf goals and we discussed the fitting process... as he sees it. The thing that stuck with me from the beginning was Matt's insistence that I not hold back in providing feedback or asking questions, and I definitely asked a lot of those nagging questions that all novice golfers have. Matt's knowledge of club design, analysis of swing data, and even analysis of a player's individual swing characteristics play into the fitting process and he has a simple approach to maximizing understanding of all factors. I've gone through the fitting process for irons and wedges and I can't wait for Matt's insights on woods and the putter!
