And every time I update my photos with her, the results are almost immediate – I start getting more auditions, because if Casting websites were dating websites, casting directors can’t possibly swipe right after seeing these awesome shots. Lisa, I can’t thank you enough, Cora you are MIAH with the most. They made this shoot so fun. They help you figure out what the best looks are for your “brand”. Lisa will show you photos on the viewfinder of her camera along the way so you can see how things are going and also acknowledge that you are getting great shots which helps you totally relax and make the more effective and efficient. I got back into acting after a long time away and feel like a newbie again. Lisa and Cora, her make-up artist, treated me with such enthusiasm and res...pect it was as though I was a seasoned pro. We got to explore so many ideas and Lisa's eye for what any look means and how it's marketable meant that we could dig deeper every time we struck gold. She does that (along with her sweet dog Star) by giving impeccable gentle direction that is easy to follow and put me right at ease. From scheduling your appointment to the day of the shoot, everything was so stress-free. Lisa is great about replying to messages if you have questio...ns before the shoot or if you call, she returns your calls in a timely manner. After scheduling your appointment, she sends you a link to help you choose colors for your outfits that work best for commercial and theatrical looks; it is very self-explanatory. In regards to working with her on the shoot day, she makes you feel at ease from the very beginning. She helps you to find your parking spot with such a warm greeting. Even though it was our first time working together, it felt like I was visiting my best friend. We immediately bonded! The studio is beautiful! You feel like you are at home. She and her makeup artist are basically your best friends for the day (along with her dog, Star, who is so sweet). When you come prepared with multiple outfit options for each look, Lisa helps you to narrow it down. With each look that you shoot, she shows you some of the images so you immediately have an idea of what she is capturing through her lens. Her eye for detail and lighting is fantastic! She will let you know if a hair is out of place or if there is a distracting wrinkle in your clothing. When she shows you her images on her camera, they come out perfectly; they look retouched without retouching. Lisa will leave you speechless with her work. Her makeup artist, Arabella, is a dream to work with too. Please take the opportunity to work with her, even if it means saving up over couple of months to pay for the shoot. My session with Lisa was fantastic!! From booking to photoshoot to followup, Lisa was always communicative and enthusiastic about the project. Along w...ith her assistants - Cora and Star - I truly felt that Lisa created a collaborative environment and openly considered my goals for our session. While Lisa does most of her photography in studio and makes headshots the primary focus of her output, she was accommodating when I asked that we explore open air and full body shots, so that I have materials that will be appropriate for publicity. Lisa welcomed me as a collaborator and not just a client, which I very much appreciate. Well worth the cost and would highly recommend to anyone in the Bay Area!! Show more
