I have been going to Solace for a few months, the staff are talented and nice. My last visit I booked for Shelly, she soaked off my acrylic and then L...atty took over. The issue came in when I asked for forms. She was visibly bothered and even said that she does not like to do forms. We had a rough start but my desired look was achieved. I decided to write a review because it’s time for a refill but my nails are lifting terribly, as if I had them on for months and this is new acrylic. 4 weeks is the typical amount of time that I go in between refills. I don’t usually have lifting until after maybe 3-4 refills. I like when the techs are patient and mindful, that makes me feel comfortable as a customer. Please take this feedback in consideration. Finally, I am spending my money at an African American salon & A.A. nail technician! Hallelujah! I'm also thrilled that I don't have to travel around ...the city to get there. You MUST use Booksy to make an appointment. They take walk-ins but be prepared to wait a lengthy time, because regulars book in advance. I am ALWAYS so pleased with the exceptional work of my Nail Tech Juanita. She's a perfectionist, a trait I greatly appreciate. She keeps up on the latest nail techniques & designs. She's an artist. She has a sweet spirit, as I find most younger than me nail techs do not have. No longer give your hard-earned money to Asain shops that don't appreciate your business. The only downside is they need an Eyebrow Tech desperately. *My pic was taken many years ago. 😆* Show more

One thing I don't do is play about my nails. Solace covers alllll areas I look for in a nail salon. It's an ambiance in there. All the techs do amazin...g jobs. The nails were beautiful but my feet were handled so roughly and I felt like the person doing them just had an attitude the entire time. This isn’t us...ually my experience since I typically book with a specific nail tech, but it was last minute and my usual person was booked, so I just had to suck it up. Again, the work was great (no base coat was used but whatever), it’s just the attitude was something I am not used to in that salon. Show more

The nail salon is usually friendly,but I felt uncomfortable with Latty. I felt rushed and my fibromalgia and other aliments wasn't helping situation. ...My body was really stiff, my movements were limited, and among things that was hindering my movements. . I didn't like that she making fun of me and laughing at me with a coworker. Everytime I asked her a question she got upset with me because I was interrupting her. I didn't like that she couldn't polish the base of my nails pink for the french design. So now they just look grey with a white tip. I was not impressed. She was not patient and to me she was perceived as a rude person. Show more
