I want to provide context regarding this situation. I communicated with this customer ahead of his appointment that I was running behind schedule. He was aware of the delay and chose to wait. This was not a first-time customer. I had been cutting his hair for over a year, and throughout that time he repeatedly praised my work and even stated that I was one of the best barbers he had been to in a long time. On this occasion, his behavior became increasingly aggressive and disrespectful. I informed him that I was no longer comfortable providing the service. After I refused to cut his hair, he became verbally abusive and made threats toward myself and members of my staff. The incident was captured on our surveillance system. He also stated that he had a weapon on him. Another barber declined to service him because his behavior made him uncomfortable. He was ultimately asked to leave the establishment. The allegations that I threatened or intimidated him with a weapon are extremely serious, and I strongly dispute that account. I stand firmly behind my decision to protect my staff, customers, and business. Respect goes both ways. We maintain a family-friendly environment where children and families are present, and behavior that makes others feel threatened or unsafe will not be tolerated. I wish him the best going forward.

I apologize for having to reschedule due to an unexpected conflict. My intention was to get you back on the schedule, not leave you without an appointment. I’m sorry we couldn’t make that happen and appreciate your understanding.
