Ned is a fantastic drumming instructor. He has greatly improved my technique and skill. Having lessons via ZOOM where I can use my own kit has been ...beneficial as Ned has provided input on my kit setup, i.e. the position of the drums and cymbals. This has allowed me to develop an ambidextrous approach to drumming which is much more fluid and natural. I also appreciate close inspection of my body position and handling of the drum sticks as I move around the kit developing speed. Show more

Ned taught my son to play drums. I always admired his approach to teaching- laid back and wanting it to be fun, but focused on making sure positioning... was correct to prevent injury and that students were practicing correctly. I’ve always wanted to play drums and now with the pandemic thought I’d reach out and try. I’m in Manila and he is in the U.S., but the lesson went really well! He has platforms he uses for practicing and helped with all the tech support. I highly recommend! Show more

This is an update review for Zoom format. In the beginning of pandemic I was hesitant to try Zoom lessons, not sure how it works with lagging and soun...d distortion. Ned upgraded equipments and made adjustments to make lessons work well. With multiple cameras, I get top/ side views, and closeup of bass drum pedal. The sound is actually ok. I can record lessons for practices later. These are great benefits. I teach music too so I know Ned's setup is excellent for online lessons. Give it a try. Show more

Our son is older and self taught. We brought him to Ned to work on technique and improve his skills. Ned is able and willing to adjust the lesson pl...ans according to where a student is and what they want to learn. Ned has been able to work with him on technique without our son feeling he's trying to change him. Also, having the recitals is a fun and positive experience for the students as well as the parents and is great for the students to perform in front of others to build confidence. Show more

If I had more time, I would also take drum lessons with Ned. I always sit with my son during his lesson and my son has so much fun- a huge smile on hi...s face, and he is learning so much. Ned stays focused and makes sure that my son learns something new every time. He helps with giving us music for my son to practice. Ned is also a very kind person and very nice to the kids. It's hard to find teachers who are not impatient or bored, but instead having as much fun as the kids. Highly recommend! Show more

The other night in his lesson he was playing along to one of his favor...ite songs and Ned would jump in and accent the beat or give him new things to try and the joy and smile on my son's face was just priceless.
