First of all FREE PARKING in Southie! That was a plus. Becki did my hair. She was fast and professional. The finish product was everything I asked for.... I will recommend this salon. The only reason I didn’t give 5 stars was a second person came to help braid and her skills were not matching Becki’s. She too was nice and professional but skills were not the same. I wanted the braids to look similar but they didn’t look close at all. There are many stylists in this location I highly recommend Azmera. You won’t be disappointed. Show more

I called ahead of time asking if it was okay to use my own products, but I had to repeatedly ask for my products (leave in conditioner and mousse) to ...be used. My hair was roughly handled while being detangled with a hot blow dryer. The style didn't come out as I desired. I understand that without gel it's harder, but I've seen it done without many times and gel causes breakage. I'm more particular with my hair than others, but as my stylist you shouldn't get frustrated with a client's requests. Especially when I paid $70 for this. I do not like leaving negative reviews for independent establishments but when I called to talk about this I was berated, laughed at, and talked to very rudely. I was told my hair needed to be handled like that because it's "kinky". Show more
