This is my first-time getting sister locs so I had lots of question for her. She took her time and answered all of my questions while having patients with me. I was able to book my appointment for my installation and I am very pleased with my results. Adrienne is professional, knowledgeable, kind, sweet and I am happy to say my loctician. I waited a week before posting this review so that anger and disappointment didn't overshadow the accuracy of my experience. I paid $75 for a consult... appointment where Adrienne examined my freshly washed head for no less than 30 minutes. She also did a test loc on loose hair. I advised I wanted my locs interlocked and my parts / sections cleaned up. She asked me if I had saved locs that had been cut or broken off and I told her yes. She advised she could reattach them and said to bring them. I asked how much would my follow up appointment be and she told me it would be $140 more. I understood that to mean it would be $140 more then the $75 I was paying for the condultation appointment. In an earlier conversation she told me $50 of the consult fee would apply to the next appointment if I booked the follow up. I understood I'd be paying essentially $25 for the consult appointment and $190 for the follow up appointment of which $50 was being paid, up front, at the time of the consult so I would need to pay $140 more. I booked and paid for the consult appointment because I wanted Adrienne to assess the work I was requesting and ACCURATELY QUOTE me a price based on that. I have had my loc for over 10 years. I have traditional locs and I wanted to have them interlocked instead of palm rolled. I had a lot of loose hair so I agreed to pay $75 for the consultation appointment because I didn't want to be surprised with a large unexpected bill. I live about an hour away from the shop and didn't want any last minute surprises. I wanted to know what I would be expected to pay so I would know if the price fit within my budget. For both appointments I arrived at the shop and Adrienne was not there. She was 30 minutes late for the consult appointment. It was a red flag, but she apologized saying she's normally never late. She was a couple minutes late for the loc follow up appointment. At the consult appointment I asked how long the following loc appointment would take and Adrienne told me about 4 hours. My follow up appointment took much longer. It started at 3p and she finished at midnight. As I pulled out the cash to pay, Adrienne says it's going to be more then the $140. I said I came for the consult appointment so you could quote me an ACCURATE price. She said that was an estimate and that she didn't know how long it would take. I asked why she didn't say the price had changed at the halfway point when she told my I could stretch my legs. She responded you saw my prices on the Booksy app. Yes, I saw the prices but I paid for a CONSULT appointment and expected you would quote me an ACCURATE PRICE for the follow up appointment. I asked how much more was she expecting and Adrienne said $340. She wanted $200 more then the $140 she originally quoted. She told me she's been doing locs for about 7 years. Given her length of experience, why was her final price more then 2 times what she quoted me at the consult appointment. We went back and forth about it. In the end she took the $140 and told me to have a safe trip. This was an extremely uncomfortable experience. I was hopeful that I had found a new loctician I could go to regularly but after that experience I will never go back. I want to interact with people fairly and pay what they feel they are worth. Unfortunately Adrienne did not ACCURATELY and HONESTLY quote me her price for the follow up appointment. I was willing and prepared to pay $215 for the consult and follow up appointment. I was not expecting or prepared to pay $415. The shop was pleasant. The stylist that was in the shop greeted me and seemed friendly. I had discussed making an appointment with her to cut my locs to shorten and even them up. Adrienne advised she does not cut locs. My locs turned out okay. I've never had them interlocked before and they are a bit tighter than I expected. It's been a week and there are some small arenas of loose short hairs. Show more

I also explained to you during your consultation that I could not quote you a definite price. You misinterpreted my prices and I apologized for the miscommunication. Listen!! When I tell you that Adrienne is a God send… She is!! Let’s just start with the impeccable customer service… she stayed in communication with... me and was very responsive to my questions. So back story, I had been going to another person for 5 years and I was losing locks left and right… I thought all hope was lost and was on the verge of thinking I was going to have cut my locks. Then Adrienne was a heaven send…she was so knowledgeable, specifically about what was going on with my hair and she reattached 13 (YES that many). Words cannot express the gratitude of how much I appreciate Adrienne…oh and did I mention I travel over 2 hours to see her. If you’re thinking about booking… don’t think twice…Book now!!!
