Im a little disappointed :( I have been going here for almost a year now, and I have been getting my eyebrows and lip threaded exclusively for almost ...12 years. I went in the other day to the Oakland location, and when I got home I saw like 4-5 red cuts from the lip threading. As the hours went on that day, my face started feeling extremely raw, and since then I have had welts forming around the cuts and LOTS of new acne that is not stopping (I did not have welts or acne prior). It feels like a potential allergic reaction or hygiene concern, as I have not encountered this experience before in my many years of threading. I am wondering if they changed the thread or products used. Or if my lady was just super rough with my skin? It’s been 2 days and my face is still super sore and enflamed. Show more

We are extremely sorry for your experience with us last time .it is very unusual after the threading .we always keep our utensil very clean ,on top of it we sanitized all the utensil we used once . Sometimes our skin get sensitive which is why your skin may be react that way ,still that is unusual . You may get red skin for few hours which is normal .

3 stars feels generous. I really wanted to like this place. My eyebrow tint was spotty and uneven. While I waited for 10 minutes for the tint to settl...e she saw another client. This is fine, but she did not wash her hands in-between me and the other client or when she was ready for me again. That’s gross. Show more

I always sanitized my hand right after seeing anyone or touching anything .sanitizer is kept in very close from my working station .I assure you I used sanitizer right after I completed her eyebrows (while checking her out) .sanitation is never been compromised in our 10 years journey . I do not recommend coming here for any service based on my experience today. I had read through the reviews on Google and yelp for the Oakland locati...on. A handful of the reviews were negative, but I thought that it would be OK to give her a try since majority of the reviews were positive and the photos looked OK. Based on the reviews, I read, I decided to book an appointment today with Rashila Lamsal. Unfortunately, she was not even there today at the Oakland location. I double checked my appointment confirmation to see if I may have missed clicked? But I confirm that I did book it specifically with Rashila. What’s interesting is that the esthetician did not introduce herself or tell me that Rashila was not available, but it was pretty clear to me that she was not her since her photo is on the website…eventually I asked her what her name was. Honestly, I also knew it wasn’t her because I remember reading an old review that had said the same exact thing—that they booked with Rashila but she wasn’t there. So I decided to proceed with this person, I honestly forgot her name but it may have started with S. She is nice but she rushed the entire appointment. She explained to me that the person before me who was a wax appointment was late, and then there was a walk in behind me, but it’s unfair that my appointment was clearly rushed. She did an ok job with threading. Okay for me means she didn’t knick my skin and my eyebrows were not pencil thin (technically she knicked me a tiny bit once, but it wasn’t too bad). But overall, my brows were thinner than I preferred. I had mentioned before she started that I do not want them thin. She reassured me that she just cleaned it up so I felt like it was acceptable—I guess—because it didn’t look horrible…but I told her what my preference was so it felt a little dismissive. The tinting is actually the problem and why I would not recommend anyone get tinting. I watched her just blotted it on (a little carelessly) and left it for less than two minutes and wiped it off. My issue is how little she cared about the tinting—maybe because the color I asked for was lighter (so there’s more room for error when it’s light, I get it), but it really turned me off how she did not put any effort into it. What’s really embarrassing is that my husband doesn’t notice when I do anything beauty wise…but he told me right away that my eyebrows looked really uneven and there was a stream at my eyebrow that was “bald” because there was no tint. I am someone who really cares about the appearance of my eyebrows because I think they really shape your face, and it’s frustrating to pay for a service that is sloppy and careless. There was no attention to detail and she left all the excess eyebrow hairs on my face. I guess it could be worse—like she didn’t give me pencil thin eyebrows—but I will never come here again. I do not recommend coming here. I only came here because there were so many reviews and the other threading salon I was interested in that my friends go to was a little further (in Pinole). Clearly, I should have made the trip to this other salon, because I am not happy with the service here. Show more

I’ve come here a couple times and never had an issue. But when I had my appointment last week, I left in complete shock. The lady who did my eyebrows ...left the tint on way too long. The timer went off after 10 minutes but she had to finish the other customer, so the tint was left on for about 13-15 minutes. I am blonde and really pale so you can probably imagine the outcome. My eyebrows looked like she drew them on with sharpie!! She tried to clean them up but it didn’t work. At home I slapped on some tooth paste and was able to get the stain out a little. It looked so bad I had to cancel my plans the next day. Unfortunately I will have to look for a new place to get my eyebrows done! Show more
