When I walked in my hair was an absolute nightmare. I had gotten a bad dye job at a different salon and it was a million ugly colors. I booked an appo...intment with Dina and she fixed it and did exactly what I wanted. The other salon gave me a very weak dye that washed out immediately, even as I took cooler showers and used color safe shampoo/conditioner, and applied it very haphazardly. And not only but they gave me a balayage, when I wanted more of a peekaboo pattern. By the time I stepped in the salon I had dull grey snot green hair. All of this made worse by the fact I had curly hair. I felt like a rotting cauliflower. When I walked in I was understandably nervous. It’s always like that with a new hair salon. I was pleasantly surprised when we were given a private room, open spaced salons always made me feel self conscious. When we were in Dina was very nice and started asking what I wanted. I had a very specific image of what I wanted in mind and she asked a bunch of questions to make sure I got what I wanted. She was very fun and chatted as we work. She explained everything we were using and how to take care of my hair. I was in and out in less than 3 hours. I got everything I wanted exactly how I wanted it. I would highly recommend Assi Beauty and especially Dina to anyone. 11/10 service I am excited to come back for my toner. Show more

Dina is amazing!! I was having a hair extension crisis and I needed someone to do my hair last minute. I had been calling around for hours and no one ...could help me. Until I called Dina.. not only did she fit me in same day, but she went above and beyond for me and I’m so grateful I found her! She is the nicest, most personable stylist I’ve ever been to and she made sure I was happy every step of the way. She cut and blended my hair to perfection. Dina was nice, but I really don’t like how my hair turned out. I had chocolate brown hair and all I wanted was to cover some greys I had, and trim my ...layers. She made my layers very choppy, and she turned my hair orange. On top of that, I’ve never met her before and the first thing she said to me was “are you pregnant?”, which I’m not…. It made me feel bad about how I look. I won’t be going back. Show more

Highlights with color

I had a truly terrible experience. She didn’t listen. I asked for a haircut below my shoulder and my layers ended up above. They were extremely uneven... not only on both side, left and right, but there was a V in the back. The blonde was bleached out and I asked for natural looking highlight, they also looked orange. She wouldn’t refund anything and I was SO embarrassed. I immediately booked a fix. She talked on her phone multiple times during my time. Unprofessional in every way. Show more

Hi Michele, I’m very sorry that you felt it necessary to leave me such a bad review. However, I would like to clear up some of the things that you’ve stated because you know that they are untrue. First, I gave you the opportunity numerous times to come in and let me look at your hair and you never came back. Second, the only ways that a highlight can "turn orange” is from hard minerals or having color applied over them. I can only assume that the reason they turned orange is because you or someone else put something on them from the store to turn them orange. The fact that you never came back also leads me to believe that this is the case. As far as your haircut is concerned, again, you never came back to let me look at it. However, on your way out of the saIon you had nothing but wonderful things to say about it. Also, I did have a co-worker contact you because I thought there may have been a communication issue. Yet you never returned her phone call. It is not the policy of my salon to reimburse any monies without seeing the issue/problem in question. It is this way in all salons. Had you come back like I asked, I was very willing to reimburse a large portion of your money, but again, you never came back. I’m sorry that you feel this way and I’m sorry that you were “unhappy” but, you were given ample opportunity to have it “fixed” and/or reimbursed.

Finding a salon to cut your hair n dye on a Sunday after 4pm? Came in with a damaged hair from home trials and had no hope but to go bald, I mean Dina... couldn’t give me back my lost hair but atleast left not so bald and stylish.
