Hand-Tied Extension Installation

I spent over $1000 getting hair extensions at Studio H in celina. At my consultation they looked at the length and color of my hair, and even took a s...ample to test it. I asked to have my hair dyed to a dark brown that matches as close as possible my natural color to keep the maintenance low. I asked them multiple times if I went with 16” extensions if they felt they would blend with my hair, and I was assured that they would. They also assured me that I would only need 1 row of hair, so that’s what I ordered. Yesterday I was so excited to finally have them installed. 2.5 hours later when she said she was finished I wanted to cry at the results but I was having too much anxiety to say anything. As soon as I walked out to the car my husband said NO WAY and we went back in. I’ll include a photo of what they originally sent me out the door with. I was very happy and grateful that they sat me back down and added another row of hair to fill in the large gaps, and very appreciative that they did it for no extra charge even though the second row was not exactly the same shade of brown because it was all she had on hand. When my hair was curled it looked okay and I was just happy that it was filled in, my husband even tipped her another $50 for not charging for the extra hair. Today I washed my hair and once the curls were gone I was once again very disappointed, the color does not match, and the length does not blend well at all. I text the stylist and was very respectful. I told her that I’d like to be able to wear my hair straight so I was wondering if we could correct the color and possibly cut it with some layers to make it blend. Last night when I wasn’t happy she acted completely understanding and wanted to help, but today she basically told me there’s nothing she can do but take them out or refer me to another salon. I’m shocked because all I wanted is to be happy after spending over $1000! She now tells me to that my extensions will not blend because my hair is short, and my color does not match because my hair has faded since the day she ordered the extensions (even though my natural hair is darker than the extensions). Of course the hair is non refundable once installed, so if she knew the color and length would not blend shouldn’t she have told me that before she installed them? And now she refuses to even attempt to do anything to correct it. If my hair cannot be blended that’s fine I would’ve accepted that and waited to try extensions later, but NO ONE said that once until after I paid and had them installed! Just so everyone knows this was the owner Megan Hiler that did my hair, I do not blame any of the other stylists that work at Studio H! Show more
