I have actually had 4 massages now from Maxwell's. I think the place is clean and nice and convenient. My first massage with Daisy was OK but not the ...best. So, the next time I went, I asked for Jyotika and I had a really nice massage. The third visit, she was not available so I had to choose Max. I figured he was the owner and would be a good choice. I was very wrong. First, he left the door to the room open the whole time and left the room twice to go out to help incoming clients. It was so uncomfortable to be there naked with the door open, people walking by, and my therapist leaving the room while I listened to everything. Plus, it was all during my paid hour of time. To top it off, his massage was also terrible. It has been nearly a year since that visit, and I was going to be in Ukiah and thought I would give Max Well one last chance with Jyotika again. The massage was at 4pm and I arrived 15 minutes early. The woman at the desk asked me to wait and I was happy to but then Jyo came out and said to go into the room and she would be in soon. I got undressed and under the sheet and waited for 30 minutes for her to come in. Even though she was 15 minutes late for my massage, I was fine. But, then she ALSO LEFT THE DOOR OPEN. AND SHE SUDDENDLY LEFT ME WITH THE DOOR OPEN TO GO HELP SOMEONE. This is a sin in the massage room. You never leave a client during a massage. You also never leave the door open exposing them to onlooking eyes by those walking by, noises from other guests and employees, and distractions from what SHOULD BE A RELAXING EXPERIENCE. To top it all off, I think she was tired from a lot of clients before me because the first 15 minutes she was just pushing me around with the sheet still on and then another 10-15 minutes with NO oil. It was very uncomfortable and sometimes painful without oil. The massage finally started with oil (kinda) nearly 30 minutes after starting. There was only about 5-10 minutes of actual massage happening between pushing my skin around and rubbing me with her elbow but not in a therapeutic way. I have had many massages over the years but two of the worst were at Max Well's and I will not be back. Show more
