This was our first visit to Studio31B. My nephew needed a haircut fast as prom was days away, and his barbershop had closed permanently. We used the s...cheduling platform Booksy, on the SUNDAY night of Memorial Day Weekend 2022, for a 9AM appointment TUESDAY, the first business day after the holiday weekend. We got confirmation right away and a reminder the next day. SUPER convenient. Lorena, owner of Studio31B, was warm and receptive upon our arrival and throughout session. She listened carefully to my nephew’s wants, discussed a pic he showed her, and was VERY attentive to details. With her questions and guidance, my nephew was able to modify the haircut to one that suited him even better than the pic (longer clipper style in back/sides instead of super low). Lorena was personable and easy, gave detailed styling tips, shared a story about her daughter’s recent prom, and made us feel super welcome and relaxed. The salon itself is STUNNINGLY modern and lovely- a GORGEOUS atmosphere like that of a HIGH END salon- reminded me of salons I used in Greenwich & Stamford, but without the stuffiness or attitude or prices. Price was great, and she extended a student discount to my nephew- delightful surprise! We tipped well, GRATEFUL for the amazing experience, and will definitely return. Side Notes: Very easy parking in spacious lot, and convenient location near Big Y intersection. Salon entry is impressively located upstairs of an open, 2-story foyer. Knocked my socks off.
