This things has happen since I started getting haircut from Melvin: - Got proposed almost immediately after. - People hold the door for me and say ha...ve a nice day, Sir. - Went to the grocery store and the person behind me offer to pay for it. - Males and females asked for my number. - People beep the horn and slow down when I’m on the sidewalk. - People compliment my hair all day long. - My credit score went up a few points. So many good things happen when I get a haircut from Melvin so 10/10. Would recommend to a friend! He’s also real cool. Show more

Had a 5:30 appt I set the same day a few hours before that, when I got there at 5:25 he had someone sit at my apt time then he was almost about to lea...ve until I said something. I sat 35 mins after my appt, Asked for a mid fade then gave me a quick marine high and tight, and was not even faded or blended right, wore a hat for a week 4/5 stars cuz the guy he cut before me was clean as hell though Show more

I’m a Marine, so I get a mandatory haircut every single week. That being said, that’s hundreds of haircuts with many different barbers. Melvin is by... far one of the roughest barbers I’ve been to. His clippers were sharp, and left my skin red and agitated. Each pass with the clippers, regardless of guard was painful. Perhaps he thinks this is a norm, but it’s not. I explained the haircut I wanted, and he nodded it off as if he understood. I was very clear, and these were the exact instructions I had given many other barbers for years, and have not had issues. Low fade, leave the hair on the sides alone for my combover. I had had a haircut 4 days prior, so the guidelines were still there. He shaved up the side of my head. It’ll grow back eventually, and although I didn’t pay for the haircut I left him a tip so as to not rob him of his time. His portfolio looked good, perhaps he’s just unfamiliar with hispanic/latino hair and hairstyles? I’d like to rate 0 stars, but the 2 stars come from Melvin professionally apologizing for messing up the cut. Show more

10 out of 10 excellent work on my 10-year-old phenomenal experience very patient very concerned with my opinion asked a lot of questions wanted to mak...e sure everything was just right when I got home my husband loved it we used to see another barber there at that location and I found out that he retired so Melvin the Barbara is going to be our new to go to my husband was so excited to see Jaden's haircut phenomenal job 100% excellent service very friendly clean exciting fun environment everyone is totally friendly but the work that Melvin did speaks for itself.
